It's been two years since stone ocean ended. So, is there any reliable leak regarding Part 7's adaptation.

Also based on previous adaptation how many episodes it might have considering Part 6 had 38 eps and Part 4 & 5 had 39 episodes each. But these previous parts had more chapters than Part 7 and Part 7 has only 96 chapters so I am guessing there might be less episodes in Part 7, but if the chapter length is more in Part 7 then that's a different case.

Also people say it will be difficult to properly adapt this part despite how massively popular it is, mainly the horse. I think they might use CGI horses.
If it really is difficult to adapt then we might have to wait longer. Plus it is highly likely than Netflix will release the episodes in batches like it did for Stone Ocean.

And please no spoilers for Part 7, as I just started Part 6 anime 2 days ago.

Part 7 is gonna have more episodes because after chapter 23 it's double chapters making it a total of 169 chapters by the standard of part 1-6 and part 8 is 220 by that standard.

Idk about the episodes, but it is confirmed it's gonna be adapted, David production is adamant on adapting all the parts (I think they even talked about being faithful for all of them), they also said that they will not be using cgi for the horses hence why it's probably taking much longer for the next season

@CrunchyCrobat I have no problem with CGI btw, just curious so was asking the same.

@Otakupervert890 Ohh is that so, then that's grwat but we might have to wait longer for full adaptation considering the batch release of Cours by Netflix for Part 6

Too bad there still isn't and I guess it's not gonna happen soon. Otherwise, it'd easily blow up social media.

Yeah, part 7's chapter is twice as long as previous parts' chapter so technically part 7 is very long. A proper adaptation should be either 52 episodes or 38 episodes + movies.

Applying CGI for horse movement is probably the most feasible solution, hope David can team up with another studio like Orange, Wit, or IG. Also, Netflix'd better stay away from JoJo. Don't want to ruin your exp but part 6 is a terrible adaptation compared to other parts thanks to them.

Part 7 anime is not coming anytime soon, don’t know why people believe it is. Part 7 is gonna have more episodes than previous parts for sure considering it’s the longest part of Jojo after part 8 which also hasn’t been adapted yet. Also yes the horses are a huge issue for the animators since characters are on horses throughout the entire part so it is worrying when it comes to adapting this part.

If adapted into an anime, Steel Ball Run could span around 50–60 episodes, depending on the pacing and adaptation style, as it is nearly as long as Attack on Titan up to Season 3 Part 2.

the horses really are not as big of a problem as everyone thinks, the biggest reason for part 7 taking longer is because david productions, is getting bigger and works on more anime now. even though it will take longer it's probably not going to come out later than 2027, because it's the studios biggest anime and they won't make everyone wait that long.

true, but Netflix has started doing weekly releases for other anime since like a year or something so there is a big chance steel ball run will also get a weekly release!!

It most likely will be animated. Many leaks and signs are showing it. They might have even started production this year. (But this is only speculation)

Steel Ball Run will definitely be very long. Probably as long or longer than Part 3. The reason for this is that Araki, while writing Steel Ball Run, switched magazines from Shonen Jump to Ultra Jump, which increased the average page count per chapter from about 20-25 to 45-50. Meaning, that the Part will take some time, regarding David Production‘s other projects like Fire Force and now Undead Unluck. So I would give it time and I think we still will see the Anime in 2028 at the latest.
I think David Production will be able to animate horses properly. They already did in Part 2 and being a bigger studio now, I believe they will definetely be able to handle the issue, even if it means CGI horses. (If the CGI looks good, I don‘t care)

Netflix taking over the project would be a nightmare, if they decide on the batch releases again. If weekly episodes and Jojo Fridays come back, I don‘t really care if Netflix takes over the Part for financial reasons.

steel ball run has 4300 pages
if we keep the pacing of the previous parts (~80 manga pages per anime episode) wed get around 54 episodes of absolute cinema

I personally would say that the first 12 episodes had a bit lackluster animation. However, I believe that after that, the animation was beautiful and as good as Part 5.
I also think C-Moon wasn‘t a problem. He looked great and the Arc was adapted beautifully.
But that‘s just my opinion, so please don‘t feel offeneded.
