A brief little Alma flashback did look pretty interesting. I do expect we would expand on it before the show ends, obviously. But for now, we got another villain group of the week, with these SORRY ass villains this time around. But yeah, looks like slowly but surely, Alma is regaining his memory.

Actually, scratch that, DUDE HAS FULLY REMEMEBERED HIS MEMORY. And yeah, everything does make sense now. Nice scene between Hikaru and Aki btw. Finally on the search for Alma.

Man I’ll do whatever I can to get more eyes on this show. Ridiculously underrated.

It’s crazy it just dawned on me when we got the full backstory today how similar this is to transformers. It’s literally just transformers and a trigger show mixed with a Sawano ost and that’s fucking amazing. The mecha arms left their world in search of energon/altirium after using up all their planet’s energy. They needed the all spark/ordella, broke into different factions etc., the similarities are clear as day.

You gotta feel for Alma, now that he remembers what happened to Yagumo he doesn’t want anything to happen to Hikaru. But what happened with Yagumo wasn’t anyone’s fault. He was a hero! I wonder if the older brother is somehow still connected to all of this tho. We never got an update on his condition and I think he was just knocked out ?

I’m digging Aki and Hikaru new relationship. In her own tsun tsun way she’s very protective of him now!

I like how they showed us the story of Yakumo & Alma.
Hikaru & Aki got the job done one way or another.
I can understand where Alma is coming from when he ran away to protect Hikaru.
I am very worried about that gate.

Great, Alma is just making a bad situation WORSE at this point. Jun doesn't seem to mean any harm, but someone else showed up.

Ye Alma got it's memory back like I thought. More cliches followed through with this sort of event but not bad. Love having more Aki, she needs Hikaru. I hope we get the ship. Anyway time to save Alma.

So a proper backstory on Alma and Yakumo on what went on. Though they really could have just retreated and came back later with a proper plan later.

Was kinda sweet Aki telling Hikaru she needs him.

The guy in the end of the episode that smirked I think is the brother. Similar hair colour and also wears glasses just a different style.

Great flashbacks episode for Alma.

Of course there is conflict, but we all know they will back together as a partner.

Lore drop and the backstory on Alma and Yakumo and how they came to earth in search of Arbitirium and then stayed behind. Yakumo seemed like a nice guy and because of that incident, Alma keeps blaming himself and how he has to follow his own path going forward.

Hikaru, he needs you. Don't give up on Alma.

BTW...

What was the point of "waking up" the "origin" again?

I thought they were suppose to send it to Mecha-Ude's world so it can generate energy for their world... so why did they activate it on Earth? (or at least it looked like they stabilized and activated it)

And they still didn't send it to Mecha's world afterwards... so the whole incident was pointless huh... those dudes died for nothing.

Not to mention, it isn't actually activated? even tho it's not in a cube anymore? and somehow the rival enemies got their hands on it? how? Since the other dude with mecha-ude FIST... survived... so he somehow lost it out of no where...

.

Other thing... in the beginning in the mines (flashback)... why is Alma in cube... if they said he can generate his own energy? but somehow he had to fuse with that other dude. And had shown Alma getting energy from the dude in the cave... in order to transform to arm...

Kinda contradicting here. Since they're making it look like Alma couldn't transform without the dude and getting energy from him. (with Fist saying they "ran out of energy" in the middle of traveling) But in present day they said he had the ability to make his own energy and stay in Arm form by himself. (meaning Alma should have never ran out of energy (or turn into cube) in the first place...)

The brief backstory of Yakumo Kagami and Alma aside, it's the usual fiasco with Hikaru and Alma, and conspicuously everyone joining the fight, from the regular school kids to more of Kagami Group's Expansion Group 3 trying to capture Hikaru and Alma.

The shocking bit of the latter's memories suddenly coming back from the fight against Amaryllis to then be the independent Mecha-Ude that he is being able to operate without derizing with a human, plus the backstory in full of the Kagami brothers of Yakumo and Tsukihito with their individual Mecha-Udes and finding Ordela, the progenitor of all Mecha-Udes after their homeland was wiped of all Arbitrium, I'm thinking none less of the Mecha-Udes being so similar to the Transformers (most similar to the 2nd movie) coming to Earth and then finding the source that keeps all Autobots alive. Despite Alma splitting up from Hikaru, to then be found by Jun and derizing with him instead to follow their separate paths, this is quite the betrayal that Aki didn't expect as his bodyguard.

Time to search for Alma again, this time right at the heart of Kagami Group's awakening of Ordela.

I liked learning a bit about Alma’s past, but it was frustrating dealing with the double depression. I sympathize more with Alma’s dilemma more than Hikaru, mostly because his is classic shonen trope that the protagonist overcomes. I’m hoping that once it has been overcome, we can move on to the more interesting plot points. (5.5/10)
