| Almost a great episode. The highlight was definitely Chika waking up. It was perfectly executed in my opinion. BUT for it to be done justice, it needs about half the episode. This episode was really important for Eko as well. The conversation between her(?) and Ryo not only helps her character develop, it also sets up Chika waking up later in the episode. BUT for it to be done justice, it needs a big part of the episode too. Don't forget that the ultimate goal is for Lall to collect powers (I'm guessing), so it's a good opportunity for Mitsuko to die. BUT if Mitsuko is about to die, there needs to be a setup for it. And on top of all of those there need to be transitions between them as well, which can also take time. The problem is that the episode has a limited amount of time and it's hard to fit so many important moments in ~19 minutes. If I was the director, I would have ideally extended this episode's content to ~1.5 episodes. I would not change Chika's scene, only place it at the start of the next episode. I think it would work better at the start anyway. I would then fill those 7 minutes by setting up for Mitsuko's death and elongating the fight, so that she can get injured more. Side Note: We didn't actually see Lall taking Mitsuko's power. I would also make her get it and do the teleportation herself. Assuming they couldn't make the season 13 episodes for technical reasons, I think they made the right choice. While Mitsuko is one of my favorite characters, she doesn't seem as vital to the story as He or Akitsu. It's sad that both her and Honoka had the endings they did, but I get why it's that way. (At least Honoka had an entire episode to herself. Mitsuko didn't even get 3 minutes!) I'm still hoping that both of them can play an important role later as part of Lall's power. |
| Eko finally getting the revelation of her role in the new timeline, and with the attacks becoming more persistent, Akitsu and the others within Gozekai finding themselves in the exact spot facing God, but actually losing key people like Mitsuko along the way, this is even more severe than everyone has ever anticipated, that's for sure. Chika awakening from her coma, only to learn that the events from 12 years past hasn't quite quelled yet from Iyo, it's definitely a cry for help, but how will help arrive? |

| So that's why her personality has changed somewhat huh. I really cannot for the life of me remember anything about the mask guy from s1 and am not sure why he's OP. |
