| that's such a cop out man, our protagonists are so boring, the enemies are out to kill them but they're just gonna incapacitate them, sure there's benefit of the doubt that Fern couldn't finish Lore and that the fireworks ended and more shots would alert the other shadow warriors but again with such generic conveniences like oh thank god you're wearing these garments with magic defense bruh I do think Fern was not necessarily avoiding the kill, it's still fairly far away and despite Fern's accuracy, I don't think it's possible to calmly aim for the head or have luxury of time especially that sequence emphasizes quick draw once they located each other but the biggest issue is the convenience of surviving that hit like oh thank god for this defense garment, let's be honest that's bs and such a cop out |

| The nun: "I've got you n.." Fern: "Nope!" Serie arrives! To be honest I believe Frieren's statement about Serie. I can't imagine how someone who's as powerful as Serie, and someone who knows almost every magic in existence, can be outsmarted and killed by humans. Obviously there has to be some wunderwaffe ready for Serie, but I expect Serie to be like "that's it?" |

| very tactical fight damn its not a simple who has more magic power like frieren has a lot of mana but its not a sure way to win |
| Of course, that flashy attack was just a means to escape, and not to kill. Though I would've preferred the latter, for obvious reasons. Now yeah, since Serie has kind of arrived as well, looking forward to see how high the stakes would go in this arc. |

Fern is excellent as ever, Serie finally made her appearance in the empire, Sein is reunited with the party as well without a meeting a single hot older lady. I'm very excited to see where it goes from now on
