| This question is pretty annoying in the anime fan base, but I’ve been reading Tokyo ghoul, a manga said to be very great, but so far I find it just fine, nothing special. Tbh I don’t give a shit about any of the characters, which isn’t rly good, and the female lead annoys me for some reason, but that’s more of my problem than the manga. Does it get better after a while, or does it stay like this? (I’ve read about 30 chapters so far) |

I would say that Tokyo Ghoul:re is better than Tokyo Ghoul. Re is where I thought that characters other than Kaneki were actually interesting. But in the end, it’s all subjective. You didn’t even give a shit about Hinami? I think 31 is where the Gourment arc starts. And about Hinami, I don’t really care much, not because I don’t like her, but because I’m not interested by her as a character, but I was sad to see her suffer. Im not interested by any character right now, and two characters, Touka and Amon, they kinda annoy me because so far there’s nothing interesting about them but the manga shoves them into my face anyway, which makes me like them even less. I also think that they’re generic, but some stuff I like is also generic, so I don’t really know whether I can say that lol. |

| I actually forced myself to finish the manga. I did not enjoy it. There are some interesting and spooky antagonists in some of the later chapters, but I agree with not having a connection to any of the characters. and any of the characters that I did like, the story does nothing with, so I didn't find it as amazing as others say. I think I gave it a 4/10. there are better written stories out there that pull you in immediately and build amazing character dynamics that you actually want to learn about and follow |

I read till kaneki gets white hair and then some chapters after that, I really did not seem to like it, ig it’s not my cup of tea so I ended up not enjoying it like others do. |
