I just want to say, my judgment of this show has dramatically changed. It took me a while to realize how amazing this story truly is, and now I get it. I was very critical of the first season, thinking it was just a regular anime, but the show has a much deeper meaning. Every character embodies how people obsess over someone or an idealized version of someone, and Ai represents that. She captivates people in the real world, and the show illustrates this brilliantly. If not Ai how Akane and Kana see Aqua. But in the art itself.

Ai is a powerful figure in everyone’s lives in different ways, whether emotionally, professionally, etc. What fascinates me is how much people daydream about an idealized or perfect world. The main characters, from what I’ve observed, were unsatisfied in some way about their lives, now living a life they once idealized. Yet, they are still tethered to their original, more realistic lives. Life is boring, and I feel like Aqua and Ruby represent the contrast between the idealized version of life we wish for and the reality we actually experience in the movie and in the season 02 episodes where we see past memories.

I find it so fascinating how my perception has shifted from my initial thoughts during the first season. I now appreciate how Ai, even in the background, signifies such an important observation about idealizing people and the desire for fame, along with all the consequences that come with it and continue to even though she has passed.

I just want to say that I can’t wait to read the manga.

I already knew it's gonna get deep when Sarina and Goro reincarnated as twins of their idol.
No, this isn't my signature.

I didn’t think the first season was anything special either, the second one however was more oriented on acting, which I happen to enjoy as I like to act myself, and also had more mystery in it than the first season.

Actually based. That scene made me realize Oshi no Ko is truly the peak of manga.
