Jesus fucking christ, shit's not even out and people have been whining about animation and acting like 2 anime in the same season is any way reason for bad animation, they haven't even had an anime for two whole seasons, whereas many others have been pumping shit out, mappa also does so many anime and still gets good animation

And it's just a bloody trailer ain't it mate, and even in that it looks good, where bloody hell does people keep seeing these bad animations

Bloody hell I swear people just complain for the sake of it these days. Trailer looked fine and I quite liked the character designs. Ofcourse they ain’t gonna spend all their budget on a dialogue/story heavy anime. Why tf would they waste resources on animation for an anime that hardly has any fight scenes…. Plus your point doesn’t even stand cos it’s gonna be 2 completely different teams working on each anime.

Honestly dawg just give it a rest. I’ve been seeing you nonstop in these forums complaining about the animation. You’re even complaining about it on the Myanimelist YouTube comment section XD. I’ve read the manga for this, and I’m just happy this is getting an anime at all.

You don’t need super stellar animation to enjoy an anime. The Fable for example. I didn’t even read the manga for that one, but I still checked out the anime because people were praising the manga. The animation is stiff, but the story and the characters were so enjoyable that I didn’t even care about the animation. I was just having fun lol. Stop stressing over things you cant control and just have fun damnit lol.

I don’t know what kind of trailer you watched, but honestly, the animation for Orb on the Movement of Earth looked fine too me! The animation never looked stiff or like a slide show, And I quite liked the character, designs and backgrounds!

Too much nitpicking. Orb is clearly not going to be a heavy production, but it doesn't need to be. All it needs is good directors/storyboarders, with maybe some highlights, and it works. I trust Kenichi Shimizu for this.

@DigiCat yeah but some of the scenes i disliked on the trailer are still here when i watched,although there have been som improvements. The staff is actually stacked some of them are from frieren too, i guess they just really dont wnna put everything on this non action anime.

Im liking this so far but it could have really been better.

Imagine evaluating an incredible anime that has the plot and characters as the most important part just on the animations, which are more than decent and conveying everything in a good way. Expecting higher budget or better production from the adaptation of a manga that just the author and his mother read is absurd, we should be appreciative of getting one in the first place. This is peak and you have negative anime knowledge

@shaadow82 Trillion Game animation looks mid definitely doesn't look as good as Orb it also just feels like another Tezuka production anime it does not feel like a Madhouse anime. Orb looks really good and it definitely seems like there was higher production value put into it.

Orb might not be super sakuga heavy but the art direction, general direction, scene composition and music are all amazing. I see no reason to complain considering this series only really needed to be well directed

@shaadow82 Tezuka and Madhouse both outsource a majority of their work to Dr Movie. The only difference is their in-house management.

It's serviceable and well directed, that's all I need for a series like this. I don't see the need for extravagant animation.
