I'm rewatching for my third time ever, the first when it came out, the second in 2012, and now again in 2024. This anime is pretty universally acclaimed, so that got me curious. I want to hear all different opinions and views on your favorite moments!!!

So far upon rewatching, episode 19 is my favorite moment. When lust and Colonel Mustang fight especially!

The plot twist with Scar and Winry's parents still gives me emotional damage to this day. That entire part of the story involving the Ishbalans and how it resolves is beautifully written.

oh yeah that's so sad...reminds me of MONSTER... you can save a life, but it may be a decision that comes back to bite you.

Cliche as it may be but Probably the ending, specifically when ed gets on the train “sacrifices are necessary”

surprisingly I don't remember much past this point I'm on from memory, so I'm looking forward to that. I remember vague dialogue from the last episode

“Season 4” or the episodes under the Period OP is probably my favorite chunk of the whole series. That’s when all of the moving parts up to that point REALLY come together and build up the full momentum that carries us through the final arc.

Oh that’s a good one. I also like the scene where he burns Lust to death out of his burning hatred for her. It contrasts with the scene where he almost burns Envy really well.

@GoCrayzee Yesss. For me the whole part which they go after envy, almost kill him then talk mustang out of burning him is absolute peak

I absolutely love when he says "Looks like I can get you on your knees" and the voice acting during this part so much

My favorite moment is probably Father reaching out to God in episode 60. Seeing the world end and things of that nature stick out from the more dramatic scenes with characters fighting or emotional scenes. Seeing the grand scale of every human getting their life sucked out of them is pretty insane.

Episode 26 where Ed finds Al’s body, you really get to see Ed’s determination to get his brother’s body back but also Al’s faith in him. The voice acting is done incredibly well which just makes the scene even better. The ending playing in the back also hits really hard.

After Ed fights Kimblee in the mining town and he has to perform medical alchemy on himself using part of his own soul as payment the way you would use a philosopher's stone.

My favorite moments are the King Bradley moments since that character is the best thing this shitty anime has for it, Greed was also nice, and a couple of little things here and there were good too, but 95% of the rest of it was garbage IMHO.

I lost myself in pure joy and ecstasy when Mustang absolutely destroys Envy and is only stopped from murdering it when others interrupt him. RIP Maes Hughes.

In no particular order:

Mustang vs. Envy (Mustang vs. Lust too)
The team fight in the woods against Pride
Hughes' death and his funeral
Winry finding out about her parents' death
Scar vs. Wrath
Armstrong and Sing vs. Sloth
Greed's final moments
Ed's confession to Winry

Towards the end of the series, when Van Hohenheim visits the grave of his deceased wife... and I guess you know what happens next...

It's such a memorable and emotional scene that I will never forget, literally my favorite scene of the whole show, easily.
