Finally something's truly worth it. Ep11 Roshidere is probably the best episode so far now.
The development of characters, though still has some flaws, but this is probably the most well-done development until now. And as a reader myself before, this ep is truly worth it.
Recommend people to watch this, it's pretty good.

It felt pretty meh to me. This show's weakest link has always been the drama it tries to set up and it didn't help me get invested enough with its recent developments of the protags going against Yuki.

I agree, the transition between the casual comedy and the serious drama isn't great, at some point it's pure romcom but suddenly everything gets super serious and formal. They are trying to fully keep the comedy elements as well as serious ones but it isn't working out. Others might not agree with me but this isnt what I signed up for when starting the show

true, i loved romance and comedy part ,but when they switched to serious part it felt cringe,i didn't like it,, if they would keep it as romance/ slice of like kind of thing then i would have loved it more.

This was a good ep but not the best (atleast for me). I went into this show not for plot and characters but instead just for stupid fun, and I'm enjoying it a lot. so much so that it has become one of my favourites

It couldn't possibly be the best episode when it didn't have a single Masha frame. This is blasphemy.

Don't know about that. I never like the drama part in any romcom. The comedy scenes are the only worth and good points of romcom in my opinion

I was not expecting for Yuki to be so selfish. If it was possible, she would have liked to be the only one competing for the president council spot. But I don’t blame her, she must live now on her family’s expectations instead of her brother.

Anyway, it was a great episode, I like Alya even more after this. I am sure she will win the elections.

Yea it was pretty messy imo they sorta just flashbanged us with some vague lore about his mom. The whole Alya going to yuki house and not suspecting ANYTHING On how yuki has such close connections with masachika. The Ayano bit could've been way more interesting if we got some insight onto the family from her viewpoint (coming from the fact that the whole mom thing happened end of last episode). The best part then was Yuki plan in which like BRO IT WAS SO PEAK YUKI IS JUST SO PEAK SHE PLAYED HER SO BAD IT MADE ALYA LOOK LIKE A 1 DIMENSIONAL CHARACTER. but anyways yea just felt like the anime thought we'd forget everything that happened at the end of last episode in which just left me with like yea i enjoyed the episode but was just confused is all

and yea felt tbh i mean it's interesting having that this is the most serious student council plotline I've seen which is fine but just creates loose ends for way more interesting serious developments they can go into. The whole family bloodline thing is the most interesting to me personally and like genuinely him and his sisters relationship. Hot take but this should've been an imouto anime deadass

Yeah I agree. I've been enjoying the show for sure but I feel like the student council drama's the weakest part honestly. It takes itself way too seriously. I'm here for the rom-com not student politics πŸ˜…

I feel like they hit us with a neuralyzer and had us forget the ending of the last episode. I would've liked to see Kuze and his mom interact, and more of the grandpa too. But nope, I guess we'll just skip all that and pretend that never happened.

There was only 1 part that you can consider to be character development which is Kuze starting to enjoy this student council battle. But the trigger felt a little weak tbh, I think they should have subtly hinted at him starting to enjoy for now, and then we see how he gets passionate in the closing ceremony. I'll see how they execute the next episode before saying what they did here was 100% wrong.

Definitely was the first episode where I had an emotional response which is a good start at least.

@OtakuKun1

It's the opposite, really. She did all this because she wants more competition.

Like Masachika mentioned, Yuki purposely chose a timing that wouldn't have much effect on the student body. So why did she do this?
Because she wanted to rile Kuze up by making him feel a legitimate threat. Before this, he was able to win out in every situation without any effort, but Yuki proved that if he doesn't take this seriously then he will lose hard.

@Master_Chef

Because it tries to balance the rom-com with the council drama, the depth of the backstories and student council incidents is somewhat lacking. I would've preferred if they commited to one route while having minor progress in the other, but this 50/50 situation doesn't feel right. Especially when the rom-com parts aren't integrated at all with the drama, it feels like 2 separate anime. One week we get one, the next week we get the other.

the drama is super juvenile, forced and lame and none of the characters are interesting, Alya is just an annoying tsundere, yuki is just super cringe, MC is boring, every other character doesn't and will not matter, they just take space

overall just an extremely underwhelming show

@Amairs does it improve upon its drama elements? It's been incredibly low stake and of low substance thus far, and the show is overplaying its supposed seriousness - the transition between the comedy elements/lighthearted moments and the drama is jarring. Masachika and his mother's relationship was a bit interesting to see, but it was barely touched upon and treated as an afterthought. Alya as a character has been...very one dimensional. I'm curious if source material improves on this.

I understand your point, but Yuki is so convinced that she’ll win the president election as always, so this is somehow nonsense. But, who knows, something is going to change now that Yuki does not have all the chances for winning. The competition is high, but Kuze and Alya might prove a real threat to her.

@Apratim That's a troupe. Though in general, student councils in Japanese high schools are of great importance and held in high regard.

Tbh, as a reader, I prefer less romcom and more on the serious plot.
Because that shows how good this series is. That's why I find this anime adaptation quite trash, and the original just even better than it 100x times. Romcom isn't just about those fan services, enjoyment on light plot and feelings development, but it also has something that would be very interesting too. I'll pray for the second season that they will make it even better.

Because these are country elections.

I don't mean the student council elections in Japan are held to chose the PM but in Roshidere Seirei Gakuen is a school for the upper Japanese class and winners of the student council elections become members of a kind of alumni network (ζ₯ε…‰δΌš raikoukai) which is composed of very important Japanese politicians, CEO and other Japanese officials. So there is a high place in Japanese society awaiting the winners of these elections. That's why they are ready to go so far in crushing and humiliating their opponents.

@BaseLion O autor/Roteirista tenta criar um plot além das falas em russo da heroína, mas não conseguem
E se a obra fosse mais ``pé no chão´´ o anime acabaria no primeiro episodio, e seria melhor do que toda essa baboseira

Its pretty average. And from the pattern here, looks like we wont see true best girl Masha in the next episode because it will be purely Alaya.

This is the first anime (that I can think of) that the main heroine isnt the 1st or 2nd best girl.

And we still didnt get the obligator beach episode.
