I have put this series on hold around chapter 108 as story got really convoluted and monthly release schedule didn't make me keep reading it. Is it getting closer to the finale? Should I pick this up back?

Wait a while, it is getting close to end, so it's better to just wait a little while longer before picking it up again

Personally I follow the tankōbon release as this format is much easier than trying to remember the story by bits every month.

We are coming to what seems to be a climax after kind a lot of lore added to the story

Around chapter 114 it gets worse and worse. On top of that the Artstyle changes to the worse, so a clear NO

Definitely, we're at 140 now so you have a lot of material to read + there's sm crazy stuff that have happened since 108

Oh no, it's not even close to the end. This "manga is ending, already the climax" thing has been going on for almost seven(!) years. So if you're thinking about reading the manga because the end is coming, no. Many things are still not revealed, and the author is stretching the plot to make money. The plot is moving, but at the same time it is standing still. The author kills characters because he does not know what to do with them. Moreover, he doesn't know how to finish the manga, which he himself admitted. It will continue for a few more years AT LEAST.

@QDrstone29 in three chapters Kagami won't even be able to finish this battle, what kind of ending are you talking about? And of course he won't finish it in one year, when everything is just gaining momentum. Don't mislead people, the end is not near
