I was watching this show on Animevietsub. I noticed that the rating was 13+ (On MyAnimeList, it said that R+). Is it legal for this anime to have 13+?

Anime age rating rarely makes sense, but it's probably 13+ due to evangelion (except end of evangelion) having no reason to be 18+ so they are just stuck at 13+ even though I think it needs to be like 15+ because a lot of places don't use those lebals

@Thecrot well netflix says it is... While also having JoJo part 6 and violet evergarden at 16+

EVA 2.0's official certifications are inconsistent. it's rated G in Japan and Quebec, PG in Australia, TV-14 in the US, 15 in the UK and Mexico, 16 in Brazil and Russia, etc... (according to IMDB)

I was going to say it depends on the country, as you pointed out. Example being Deadpool is R18+ in the US but MA15+ in Australia. Some countries have stricter standards than others, while some are industry set so will rate harsher to preserve their independence over government set ratings.

There isn't any foul language or nudity, as far as I can remember . So, isn't it safe to assume that most kids watch PG-13 movies? If so, why prohibit them from watching EVA?
