So, we got an easter egg for an anime adaptation for sayonara eri. I guess a1 is animating it considering they're promoting all the manga of tatsuki fujimoto.

@AnD_MaN_03 As far as I understood, it was just a similar character. Because there was a different title.

LN romance adaptations often do this, especially when the characters go into a bookstore. Eromanga Sensei and that show about the ex-girlfriend becoming a sister went so far as to even throw it right in your face. But I'm not sure if this actually means anything specific. For example, Eromanga obsessively advertised a sequel to Wolf and Spice, but it has not yet been released.

But it was eighty tho. They even say eighty six from their mouths

@Hickykissy Obviously I was talking about Eromanga Sensei. On the left is LN with a similar character on the cover but a different title.

Sadly I know. I was just hoping for an Eighty-Six second season.

Just the "hopium/copium" thing, you know? : )

@AnD_MaN_03 I was talking about another character, but regarding this, I understand. I don't know if 86 is over, but if Mahoka, GGO, etc. got sequels after all these years, then why not?

I think that Spice and Wolf will get the full Fruits Basket treatment first before a sequel, but there's already hints that Wolf and Parchment could follow.

Good eye. But unfortunately I think it was just a coincidence.

It's more likely that they just used a photo of the inside of a manga store as reference, and the shelves in the photo just happened to have a lot of Fujimoto's works. They may have just applied a filter/effect on the photo and used it directly, even; not saying that's bad, it's fine to cut corners here and there.

I think this is the case. It's a tactic their sister studio did *alot* in my dress up darling

@TulsA55OtaKU Well, I'm still waiting for the Fruits Basket sequel adaptation, even though that manga was essentially just written to extend the life of the original work. While the sequel to Spice and Wolf is still alive as a standalone work. But who knows?

@GGcc78 As mentioned above, this is standard practice. Magazines and publishing houses take advantage of the fact that adaptations of their works attract the widest possible audience and advertise their main product. Have you ever noticed that in many LN adaptations, the characters always end up in bookstores full of famous titles? They have the rights, so they can afford to show a bunch of names even if the original work didn't mention anything like that.

That book on the right is one of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s works. It was before the Chainsaw Man, but I do not know why they integrated a Tatsuki Fujimoto reference:)
