 The official website of the Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to su (Shangri-La Frontier) television anime series announced a pair of additional cast and key visual (pictured) for its second season on Thursday. The new season, which will be running for two consecutive cours, premieres on October 13 at 5:00 p.m. on MBS and TBS' Nichi-5 programming block.Yuka Terasaki (Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ougonkyou) and Natsuki Hanae (Kimetsu no Yaiba) are joining the cast as Akane Akitsu and Ceecrue, respectively. Toshiyuki Kubooka (Majo no Tabitabi) returns to direct the second season at C2C. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken) is handling the series composition and script. Ayumi Kurashima (Devilman: Crybaby) is the character designer and chief animation director. Ryuuichi Takada (MONACA) (Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song), Keiichi Hirokawa (MONACA) (Garo: Vanishing Line), and Kuniyuki Takahashi (MONACA) (Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku) are composing the music. Shangri-La Frontier adapts Katarina and Ryousuke Fuji's action adventure manga. Katarina began writing the story as a web novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2017. Fuji began drawing the manga adaptation in Weekly Shounen Magazine magazine in July 2020. Kodansha shipped the 18th volume on July 17, with the 19th volume scheduled to be released on September 17. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English and released the 16th volume went on sale on May 7. The 17th volume is scheduled to go on sale on September 3. Source: Comic Natalie |
