| up front i want to say i really like the series, am more of a manga fan, but i like both the manga and the anime. as someone who had been the manga sent oshioshio released it, i was under no impression that the manga had reached a very small audience. its dokuro esque humor seemed to be unknown to most because of its obscurity. you could have fooled me into thinking it never had weekly release, just popped up in tankobans from time to time. but here we are. people who have physically seen me buying the volumes but cared little when i mentioned it, some of who dont even watch cgdct or comedy revolving around school girls. they just wont shut up about it. insult it injury is when they try and rave to me about the show asking if i heard of it before... there are some anime only jokes, ofc anything auditory is anime original, and some of the memes are anime original, but 90% of the anime is 1 for 1 adapting the manga, if not doing stuff out of order. i dunno, its weird right? guess the marketing was just that next level. |

| I think only op and maybe ep1 deserves the hype. Rest of the episodes are very dry/ bland for a comedy series. It's more leaning toward yuri bait SoL at this point. I mean, a comedy dropping from 8.1 score to 7.7 score in a spam of 4 episodes pretty much explains everything. Normally comedy doesn't drop score this fast. |

It's mainly because current season is just a patented garbage, if you are not a gatari fan shikonoko is like the only title you can even watch (!!!).
I can't recall such a lackluster season in past 3 years at least, but probably even in 10+

| @Vizvezdenec I cant guaranteed anything but maybe give Sengoku Youko: Senma Konton-hen a try. It's less generic than most of the popular stuffs this season, premise is interesting enough, characters are likable, and OP/ ED are lit. Also ofc the all-so-popular Oshi no Ko S2 still stands strong if you haven't watch it already. (or hate it for no reason cuz it's popular like a lot of people out there XD) |

| @Vizvezdenec funnily enough of the 4 shows im watching Nokotan is by far my least favorite one, this season just looks kind of weak but its actually got some gems like elusive samurai or how to be ordinary, theres also some series that i know got good manga like pseudo harem which again comes off as something that sounds weaker than it is cause its actually a cute romcom about a girl practicing her acting around the guy she likes pretending to be a harem of different tropes |

The repetitive bland jokes, Koshitan trying so hard to play the straightman character, and the god awful music played during the episodes that's too distracting (noticed this issue especially during episode 5), makes you lose focus from the poor attempt of an absurdist joke being played out. There's no satisfying punchline to any of the jokes - the PR team did a great job in marketing a series that really can't stand on its own. Feels odd seeing far-fetched comparisons being made with Nichijou and other absurdist comedies, since it's not even close. |

| @Vizvezdenec that's just simply untrue - this season has got Isekai Shikkaku, Makeine, Roshidere, Goddess Cafe s2, OnK s2, Elusive Samurai - someone already mentioned Sengoku Youko, an old school shonen with a fantastic story, from the same author of Biscuit Hammer (pretend the anime of this series does not exist lmao). Mayonaka Punch is another fantastic original series by PA works and the VTuber Legend series got Ayane Sakura popping off saying out of pocket shit, which is hilarious. Yeah, I don't see how any of those series make the current season a "patented garbage" lol. |

| it is popular but according to the score and certain forums ppl have mixed feelings about it. I think the anime is ok, but I think the comedy is just getting repetitive really fast and is not really funny at times as well. |
