| Well, this is getting progressively more fucked up. At this point I think Katana might not belong to another world or anything like that, but instead the entire world around her is a fabrication to cope with trauma and/or some sort of abuse. Otherwise, I'm having a hard time figuring out what's with the occasional humans she sees and why she's so scared of them. My theory is that she's running away from maybe an abusive mother or something similar. The monsters might be her demonization of figures that try to bring her back home. The stones might just be somwthing she likes to collect or be a metaphor for something else. Kodaichi and Saya might just be fabrications of her mind, split personalities that deal with her problems so that she doesn't have to acknowledge the need to face them. This wouod also explain some things like the train moving on its own or the hotdogs; Katana is blocking out everyone else and only allowing very specific people into her delusion, whom she might also idealize as, for instance, a wolf, which is why Kodaichi can "translate" what the wolf says. Or I might be completely wrong. |
