To manga readers: Will three movies of normal length be enough for the story to finish without feeling rushed? (No spoilers, please 😭)

I would have preferred an episodic release (mainly because it would take a long time for the movies to come to me), but Mugen Train is one of my absolute favourites, so I’m very optimistic. And the question was, will three movies be enough to completely adapt the rest of the manga? And PLEASE don’t put any spoilers.

It really depends on how they handle this next arc. But it’s really up in the air, There is another arc after infinity castle which may be made into a season.

Either that or it will be included in the final movie.

don't worry after this infinity castle arc there is one another arc called sunrise countdown arc. That would be the final arc. First let them announce the timing of each episode in this arc, only then we could tell if it is going to be rushed or not. If each episode is around 1hr 30 mins ,then it is not rushed ,if lesser than that then maybe it could have been rushed🙄🙄🙄.

I think ufotable will announce a separate season for the last arc.

I thought the Infinity Castle arc was the final arc. But, anyway, I’m very optimistic about how ufotable will deal with Demon Slayer, as they have gone all out for this series since the start.

there are 66 chapters left [44 of infinite castle and 22 of sunrise arcs]

But I believe that infinity castle will be adapted in movie trilogy and sunrise will be another season.

3 movies mean each may adapt 15 ch

Now One episode in DS adapts 2 manga chapters thus from 15 chapters we get almost 7.5 eps. Assuming every episode of 20 minutes. 7.5 eps = 150 minutes

thus one movie will be of around 2 hrs so it's not rushed for sure

Enjoy!!

Wake up to reality! Nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world. The longer you live, the more you realize that the only things that truly exist in this reality are merely pain, suffering and futility.Everywhere you look in this world, wherever there is light, there will always be shadows to be found as well.As long as there is a concept of victors, the vanquished will also exist. The selfish intent of wanting to preserve peace, initiates war and hatred is born in order to protect love.

the answer is YES. the mugen train movie covered 12 chapters in 2 hours & the infinity castle arc has 43 chapters left divides by 3 which is about 14 chapters per movie so each movie would be about 2.30-3 hours.

For me I'd say it's possible. Mainly though it has to do with how the production team will chose to do it . I mean there are 3 or 4 major battles that will take place with the upper moons ( not a spoiler as its easy to guess I believe) . Now if they choose each film to showcase 1 of those fights it might be perfect. It lies on how they'll choose to show us the battles and how much attention they'll put in it. Lastly for me there's no chance for it to be rushed because the last episode of the last season went on so slowly so I believe they understand how to deal with time to transfer all the details major and minor.

If its only the infinity castle arc and not the sunrise countdown arc then 3 movies each of 2 hours is more than enough to cover it in a brilliant way.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Unfortunately most of the people get confused when they hear that the infinity castle arc is going to be adapted as a triology that they TOTALLY forget there is another arc after which is the final arc of the story and it is adaptation is not confirmed in the triology.

So for me it's :-

- Triology for infinity castle.
- Season for final arc.

They haven't confirmed anything for the final arc, the trilogy of films is just this next arc, so it depends on the lenght of the films. If them last about 2 hours, I think we can be sure that they will adapt everything or almost. Anyways, I trust on Ufotable, and they did the Mugen Train movie last almost 2 hours.

I think they'll solely focus on just Infinity Castle and maybe save Sunrise Countdown for a season

Hopefully they adapt everything in this three movie. I don't want them to stretch this shit anymore. It already feel so dragged out.

@miripam It's already confirmed that they will adapt it all with these 3 movies. Sunrise Countdown is a fanmade term while the full arc is Infinity Castle.

@Alinist Infinity Castle IS the final arc. Sunrise countdown is not an official term and is just part of the Infinity Castle arc.

This is not the final arc yet, I guess? The final arc would be Muzan vs Everybody.
But to answer the question, yeah, it's possible for them to adapt the last chapters into 3 movies. But hopefully, they won't. Oh my gash, I prefer them in series.

its just infinity castle arc i dont think the final small arc sunrise countdown arc would be adapated in the movies as it would be too much content in three movies personally i think these movies would adapt till infinity castle arc end and then the final last arc might be 10-12 episode anime season

@Shub_Likes_Anime The Sunrise Countdown arc is not too much content to include in the final movie of the trilogy, each movie can easily be up to 1.5-2+ hours long, and it can easily be divided into 3 movies with all the flashbacks and backstories. There's a lot of action/combat scenes in both arcs, and combat scenes that are stretched over multiple chapters don't take as much time when animated into a scene.

I believe that the series is going to conclude with this trilogy, as it makes no sense to make the Sunrise Countdown a season of multiple episodes if you know everything that goes on in it. Just my opinion, but if they don't conclude the series within the trilogy of movies, it would be such poor planning. It would make more sense to make a 2-cour season and THEN release a movie on the final arc.
