I personally think this season is GREAT! Knowing everything that builds up from the previous season and now watching this season, all the dialogue and world building is critical because without it we would be left to assumptions and gaps. I think a lot of people are really fighting/action anime focused but I think y’all just need to sit down and listen and watch the season for what’s to come, you have to build a story before shit goes down. And a great story doesn’t always have fighting 24/7! Hope this helps!

To be honest, at first I didn't think it was a great season, but the direction of the plot surprised me, so my opinion changed, I loved it Rimuru best Isekai protagonist❤

The season is fine for what it is, except for the first part. I don't mind the world building it only felt like it dragged on forever. Instead of staring at the table endlessly, they could have mixed it up with showing what they were talking about, like a flashback with it overlay by whoever was talking. I would have been happier if they had made the first part just audio instead of various people sitting at a table for almost 2 hours, in the first 5 episodes.

The first few episodes were pretty weak, regardless of what the people who love the show say. There are better ways to present world building than sitting at a desk for 20 minutes for 5 episodes.

After you get past that, season has been pretty good thus far. Probably would rate it 7/10 overall

This season is great, I'm really enjoyed the Intro and Outro, and so far I think it's good except for the first of few episodes is boring, but yeah, I still watch it until end lol

This season made me realize the show has too many characters to keep track of if you are not super invested. Often I had no idea if characters were new or previously estabished and if they were noteworthy. Also I have no idea of any powerscaling in the show, but that mostly becomes irrelevant as Rimeru just has a skill for every situation.

Now this may all sound super negative, but I still think this season is an enjoyable watch and I actualy enjoyed the talking more than the action as I wanted the info. I would say this show is a lot like overlord but with less evil and a little less interesting characters.

Just no tension at all for meetings to be stretched that long. Even when the action returned, the antagonists absolutely sucked, dont get to know that much about them to build them up as interesting or credible characters and Shion thumped them without breaking a sweat, let alone Rimuru protecting Hinata with breaking down highly OP spells since Rimuru's too invincible and perfect. Now Hinata, one source of tension that might have had a chance in the past against Rimuru is now just a friend and now, RImuru again has absolutely no credible opponents or antagonists that can genuinely threaten his perfect utopia of boring boardroom meetings, parties and festivals where everyone just sings for his name. It's just flat out awful writing wise and Rimuru is far too strong and opponents, whether the Seven days clergy or Clayman look and come across as complete jokes of antagonists to make this worthwhile.

I like it so far despite a lack of action in early episodes. The big selling point of slime is the good cast and world building.

agree the first few episodes were bangers the taking on a desk and showing both sides made the fight scenes better without it I would of been like why are they fighting and how did they get to a certain location like where is the dialogue that led to the fighting, if they didn't show the dialogue before the fight I would of drop the show and went to the manga to get more details, every episode so far is a banger 8.8 out of 10, I do feel like the talking was rushed and could of gone an episode of talking but the build up and outcome is peak.

@MangagnaM well seeing that he is a demon lord and everyone in tempest got power ups when he did theyre not gonna be the easiest bunch to beat?… especially since they’re monsters and the ppl they’re fighting are humans + rimuru won’t have many opponents other than other demon lords or dragons or any higher power to go against him.. so ofc a lot of the antagonists are gonna seem “lame” or wtv

the show doesn't need to be action 24/7, but honestly, the first 5/6 episodes feel redundant for the most part.

You could cut them down to make 1 or 2 episodes and would lose next to nothing. in world building.

The show is fine at the moment, but its pace isn't great.

@dswizzz I wish they werent as OP either, a bit more balance and threat with Rimuru and company not having all the skills handed to them in the world (even through death for some like Shion), and the antagonists being.... not comical and have some kind of threat to them to make the meetings with protecting Tempest mean more, that would help. But it feels too late to really fix Rimuru's side. Felt like season 2 had something going with the surprise attack killing many but the whole bringing them back to life and having everything feel like a utopia again after doesnt help one bit. Nothing can truly go wrong for Rimuru and company, and have it stay that way that they have to learn from or overcome later on. At the bare minimum, at least give the antagonists some depth to them and not have them be overly corny and cartoony like what Clayman and even the Seven Days clergy. There's a lack of nuance and the Holy Knights also looked like complete geeks to Shion so there's just no alley whatsoever for tension to happen and its hurting the series. At this point, just more Slime Diaries makes sense more of this current formula of Slime.

i do really enjoy it, the characters, comedy the world building that's what made me fall in love with tensura at the first place and this season continue doing so. i also really find myself loving hinata character, which I disliked previously.

I think it is enjoyable, but it’s annoying how long I have to wait for payout. There needs to be more runtime in each episode if they’re gonna release weekly.

But world is pretty cool, and the politics are always appreciated. Still a bit too happy-go-lucky with the amount of actual consequences. But I’ll take it.

The first 7 episodes where all they did was talk were probably the most boring episodes in this entire anime but I think it’s picked up icely since then

what I didn't like in this season is that first 7+ episodes were all about who is wrong, who is right, they all talked about how everything happened, and someone is manipulating them, someone is trying to frame them, I mean it's fine if they talk but use that knowledge in a good way or use it when you need , what's the point of 7+ episode talking and then hinata started to fight because her subordinates are fighting, i don't understand how it works , they talk but don't do a thing,

I was never a fan of slime. It was good enough to continue. This is just my opinion. Maybe I have bad taste, but that is still only my taste. It has nothing to do with you. I hope nobody attacks me personally for having a different opinion.

Season 3 is the first time I dropped a show with amazing potential. I feel no connection to the characters. Moreover, there are like 90 characters? How does anyone remember all of them? Attack on Titan had about the same amount of characters, but I was somehow able to connect with them. I dropped the show. Half the time, I am thinking, this character has little to no meaning. This character.... I don't even know him/her. This character..... like the seven days..... and then they..... I was like, so what? I don't care about them at all. Too many characters have little to no impact.

i enjoy it and its interesting to learn about the politics of their world, while it did get boring, there was a lot of info thrown around in those first few episodes that are key to the dynamic of the later and more action focused episodes

I just keep watching this because I have a lot of free time, but I haven't enjoyed tensura for so long, it's always the same loop: there's some evil guy scheming shit from behind the scenes, some manipulation/misunderstanding happens to force a conflict, add some yapping inbetween, some inconsequential fights, then the conflict gets resolved and they celebrate doing a festival. Then another evil guy wants to take down Rimuru for whatever reason, so there's some more evil scheming, some more misunderstandings, some more yapping... honestly, it's my fault for continuing to watch something that's clearly not for me

I actually enjoyed the start of the season, the build up for something great. Then we got the setup with Tempest vs Western Holy Church and our gang just did... nothing. Rimuru fought a bit with Hinata and then tanked an attack. Shion just tanked an attack to show her superiority and the other four interesting fights were off-screened. Diablo got me hyped for a moment before he just used a very boring spell to kill his opponents.

I don't mind meeting episode which set up interesting developments. But the payoff sucked so much this time, that I'm not really excited for the rest of the season anymore.
