Follows a Doctor trying to do as much as he can after the bombing of Nagasaki, also the effects of the radiation that took place over the weeks following. Obviously trying to milk as much emotion out of the viewer as possible, and maybe guilt or discomfort for some, I couldn't get that emotionally invested though, but an otherwise solid film.

Damn, a hard sell of the horrors of war that so far only the Japanese can speak to.
The only country to experience the Atomic bomb and the nightmares that followed.

This is the cost of saving American lives at the end of the war.
And we wonder why the culture is so different and twisted.

history repeat itself. even after the bomb is dropped and people are still surviving there, there was no one to help them. they were alone slowly dying from an unknown cause where they just kept getting worse. reminds me of the great cover up chernobyl had after it exploded. not sure how much the movie is 100% true to reality but its not unbelivable to have government neglect after a great disaster

@alpo42ab not trying to start something here, but the bombs also saved hundred of thousands of Japanese lives, operation downfall would be Okinawa multiplied 10, not to mention millions more starved on the next months without food.

@Fabrizio00 Yes using the bomb did kill less people in the short term but long term effects are still being felt.
I guess we can look to gaza for a modern take on the issue.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
