So the one responsible for Uryu's death was Yuko, not Nozoe. The latter imprinted a false memory into his mind and believed in it as in something that had actually happened, while the reality was different.

This chapter has made the whole aspect of relations between Yuko, Nozoe and Saki even more twisted and tangled. That being said, I don't think it adds anything more to the story, other than a fancy revelation and previously told backstory's extension. I don't think Reiji will look at his mom, Esemori, or Saki, in a different light. So yeah, in terms of Reiji's story, this information is pretty much irrelevant at this point.

Instead, I expect him to just pander over it, but only a little, and rush to Sensei's place to talk or something. Hopefully, he will discover at last that Nagi is there.

They all only saw what they wanted to see, not that I blame any of them.

@Thatboidriz While it might seem very bizarre or even outrageous for non-Japanese people (mostly Westerners), it was really popular in Japan back in the past. What's more, from what I read, even today the activity of parents bathing with their kids is something still relatively popular even today (though the older a kid is, the less common is to see them bathing with a family member of the opposite gender). To me it's something unsettling as well, but like I said, it's just a cultural thing.

@Adnash The bath itself isn’t the issue. It’s the mother trying to “comfort” yuko and telling her “she feels at ease because the same Happened to her.”

@Thatboidriz Ah, I see. Yeah, this particular scene was indeed an unsettling one. Very pathological situation and an example of a complex domestic abuse. Yuko is far from a good person in this story, but with past like this it shouldn't be surprising that she has become such a toxic person. It's not an excuse for all the stuff she has done up until now, but it can make viewers see her point of view and notice how people around her shaped her personality (in a negative way).

With the real story revealed I don't think it effects Reiji much. It just reinforces that everyone in this story is fucked.
