Man for an anime based on war ,even 26 episodes wouldn't have been enough for the story considering the pacing I think and now they decided to end it shortly , I hope it's not the end of the anime adaptation , especially now with the current development of Shin and Kyoukai .. |

| @Rimuru0001 It'll definitely continue given how often Kingdom has been dropping seasons in the past few years. I have a good feeling a continuation might take place either at the end of this year or some point next year with a season 6. Season 5 seems to only focus on the Kokuyou Campaign arc and there is a long arc coming up very, very soon so I am hoping season 6 has a similar number of episodes to what the first 2 seasons has personally (even if unlikely). |

| @Rimuru0001 yeah I find it quite strage but its a pretty weird spot rn in the story in terms of anime cours. my guess it that they will either go with a s5 part2 which will cover the next short politic arc that starts a huge war, so they will cover some chunck of that war in s5p2 with 13eps too. and after that a 24-26ep s6 that will cover the rest of that huge war to completion. afterwards it should be more streamlined to adapt with 13eps seasons covering shorter arcs. ....or I might be wrong but I am 100% sure that the anime will go AT LEAST till the end of that huge war, since its the most popular arc of the manga and during its climax, kingdom manga sales spiked in 2020 even surpassing one piece (which mind you, it was when things started to pick up in wano and the drop of ch 1000) |

| @Rimuru0001 I'm not surprised it's just 13 eps this time looking at how the arcs line up. The Koku You arc is about 50 chapters, which with the pacing they've been going with is pretty much good for 13 eps. But then the next major arc is more like 150 chapters. That alone would probably take more like 37 eps like the first two seasons had to cover. If they didn't want to make a stop in the middle of that, then making S5 a bit shorter and then S6 a bit longer instead is the most natural distribution of episodes on paper to reflect the manga structure. |
