Just be grateful you don’t have to listen to an anime that takes place in China, in Chinese.

I highly prefer the Chinese names.
knowing that (alot of)characters are actually real people fighting over real battles is really cool(of course it's not accurate).

A good example is the "four Greatest Generals of the Late Warring States period", which are:
Li Mu (Ri Boku), Bai Qi (Haku Ki), Wang Jian (Ou sen) and Lian Po (Ren Pa).
knowing these people are real renowned generals is a cool fact and makes you more frightened when you see them on your screen.

In arabic translate we use them instead of the Chinese ones so it's pretty easy to know

tbh the only reason i’d want the japanese names it’s cuz im used to them since the start and can recognize who they’re talking abt easily but when they use the chinese names it can get confusing cuz im not used to it but i don’t mind it much

I wonder. Why are the names pronounced differently than how it's written? I've seen a lot of chinese animes where this wasn't the case.

@Savagexx7 There is a Japanese way to say their names and Chinese way.
Lian Po is how its written for example but they say Ren Pa in the Japanese dub.
I assume its because the subbers are fans who want to stay original to the manga and use the original Chinese names.

Yeah sadly reading through 780 chapters and watching through 130 episodes with the Japanese translated names has me not wanting to watch with the real names lol. Just too used to them to be able to pick up on the true names for all the characters (even tho really I should know both smh).

@DoomsMark There is a link on Reddit in "Kingdom - Season 5 Episode 1 - Discussion" thread.
There is also a chance that [Erai-raws] on nyaa will do the Japanese names ver this time around too, just like they did with S4.
