Probably the most famous one is the bike slide

However, with the latest release of My Hero Academia's manga, I have seen people mentioning that Akira also created the "pathetic baby death of a monstrous creature", so how true is this statement? Did Akira also "invent" a monstrous creature having a pathetic death as a baby?

I'd say Akira was inspired by Kamen Rider and 1981 action movies like Mad Max 2 and Escape From New York.
