Yuki's recruitment by Asahina Daigo's buddy-cum-rival of Shiro Amakasu to the prestigious private Fire Company M, it's a new calling for her.

With the typhoon arising, Shun is worried about Yuki, but Daigo knows all too well that this was what she was hiding all these years, with Captain yamagami vouching Daigo to keep up and not slack around. Even in bad weather, all firefighters continue their training, though Shun is clearly of topic being smitten to Yuki. And though emergencies are part and parcel, Yamagami keeping a close eye on him, whilst rescue operations are being done in immensely flooded homes where people like the elderly and children can't get out in time. Even worse. it's in a house's basement.

In Daigo's case, saving both a grandma and her granddaughter from the flooding, he can't afford to take chances, and uses a section of the flooded area to siphon the rainwater out, as well as partitiion blocks covered by waterproof sheets to prevent rainwater, to create a safe space of escape. Time is not on their side as well, and Daigo thinking that he could break his shoulder again, that would not work here. Waiting for a water rescue team would not suffice, so they decide to do the rescue eitherway with all hands on deck. As much as Daigo has survived chest-deep waters that's close to suffocation levels before, the respirator is Shun's only redemption point for him to use the equipment and hold the sheets underwater, though it would not be as long. With 2 fire pump vehicles siphoning 1 ton/min, they only have 5 minutes, and that task is left to Shun and Sergeant Igarashi to do the underwater work.

Captain Yamagami knows that his young generation team is suffering under his leadership, but in times of crises, sacrifices have to be made.
Will this rescue mission work?

Water is the opposite of fire but that doesn't mean it is less dangerous. In fact, since this squad is specialized in fighting fire, facing water disaster seems more threatening as ever!

A typhoon has hit Tokyo causing all nearby rivers and roadways to be flooded. Firefighter units are often deployed in the event of a natural disasters. Shun and his squad were sent to remove a steel beam, but now they are tasked with rescuing Daigo who is trapped in a basement room with a young girl and her grandma with the water levels continuing to rise. Time is of the essence as Shun finds a way to get to Daigo before the basement room is completely flooded.

Flash Flood waters are no joke.

Okay this one was dumb.

1). Why did he close the door to a one room basement and not just bring them out immediately?

2). There's zero way they'd ever be able to hold down not only those sheets but the metal sheets against the weight of water flowing into that area.

3). Why use men when you could just drop heavy equipment on the sheets instead?

4). The water blocking panels should be on the outside of the handrails and horizontal to give the highest stability.

5). They've twice as much air as they need because once the water is at head height not only do they not need respirators any more, they can safely open the door (If pressure is still to high they can smash the window in the door to equalise it).

6). If it's between saving three lives andsmashing that window and not doing property damage they could have just smashed that window and saved all this trouble to begin with.

7). Why on earth were they hiding in a basement during a typhoon in the first place?

Flood is coming.
Flood is coming.
Beware, danger is here.
Alert, there's danger.
Alert, there's danger !
What do we do ?
What to do ?
Let's do this ?
Yeah, let's do this !
Come on let's do this !
Can we do this ?
Thanks for speaking up.
Let's do this.

And on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on ...

Why is this even related to Daigo ? It's something you can recap with one sentence (there's flooding, firemen are trying to save one of their own) nobody would watch/have heard of if it wasn't related to Daigo.

And why was there a female character in the beginning ? What was the point ? You see more the fire hose than her AND THERE'S NO USE FOR THEM FFS ! (>_<)

If it doesn't start soon (one or two ep I guess) I'll drop, it's just too empty.
A shame because I really liked the first eps, they were refreshing and intense. :(

Did... I miss something? Are they just... not going to mention how the heck Daigo ended up in the basement with the two rescuees in the first place?

The tension in the rescue was good once again. The rest not so much.

For a show that usually takes forever to get anywhere, why was Daigo suddenly locked up down there? And the non-rescue / slice of life parts are still way to slow and boring.

Wow, sure floodings are no joke either and it's surprising to see Daigo being stuck in that basement with the grandmother and little girl, still impressive to see Shun's idea and courage to find a solution to save them, especially how it seems to be working

The flood in the basement is a bit of a mystery but it makes for exciting rescue in a typhoon. What is the M Company that Yuki is asked to join?

@SenseiSempai-san, sadly I dropped the series as it became dull and monotonous for me.

@SenseiSempai-san, of course it is realistic, simply I can't watch any more recaps at the each new episode and pointless converstations between characters. Close to the end of the series they began to show us a life of an emplyee of a mass media. It was exactly why I came out of patience and dropped it.

@Memore ahh ok. guess it went off a bit tangent in the story line. Will see how it is towards the end.
