| It is peak adaptation, but can we get much higher than this, I mean imagine 20cb adaptation like this. It would be 5 times longer than pluto, so 40 or more episodes each of one hour long, just imagine how massive the story would be. Well, it seems not possible but after seeing the adaptation of pluto it gave me hope that it might happen someday. |

the main purpose of anime is to advertise the manga for better selling but if a manga is already best selling or popular there's no need for anime like VAGABOND, 20CB
| @demonaman293 There's a lots of purpose of a anime other than promoting the source, lmao....Pluto is a 20 years old manga based on a reimaginaiton of a arc that is few more decade years old, it didn't need a sell boosting... This anime is just a Labour of love and passion that took almost 7/8 years of made if I am correct. Anyway, Vagabond didn’t get a adaptation because adapting it is not possible, it was unadaptable kinda Thing. And about 20CB, Naoki's fanbase is quite niche and 20CB needs much heaver production , so no producers took the risk to adapt something this large scaled that has a lower chances to generating profit... Anyway, Since Pluto was adapt with utmost care and its gaining the success within its niche, maybe we can hope for 20CB. |

| @demonaman293 Yeah, but that's not the only purpose, there are so many investors involves in an anime adaptation, they won't get anything if the manga sales increase, their only profit is the commercial success of anime and not to mention you'll get sponsors if the anime adaptation is success, so there is more profit and generally the manga which have better sales gets an anime adaptation because it already have a fanbase or big target audience to watch it. |
| i think we will. not entirely sure on this one but i read somewhere that this studio is a subsidiary studio of one of the bigger ones (either mappa or madhouse i think) and that it was created in order to adapt high quality manga that go under the radar/prob wouldnt get an adaptation otherwise, which i think is what the industry really needed. after what seemslike a success in pluto, (no idea about figures, but the reception has been very positive) it seems likely that either this or other studios will use it as reasoning to adapt urasawa's other works, most notably 20cb ofc. although no idea how long it will take if it does indeed happen, cos this studio seems relatively small, having only worked on a few smaller projects before pluto, and pluto taking many many years to create, heck there was even a long period of time where everyone was thinking the project got abandoned cos there was no news at all in a couple of years, so i assume if 20cb does happen, and by the same studio, we can expect a wait of poossibly as long as 10 years. |

Does it need a heavier production? It has a lot less action then Pluto.
| @24846 That doesn’t make sense, the story is on much bigger scale than pluto or even monster with too many characters, so it requires more episodes which means they have to maintain the consistency of making the story for longer than Pluto and monster, hence the heavier production. |
