Anyone missing saimori family?

I don't miss them. In fact I'm happy they are gone especially the sister, another character I wanted to slap across the screen. Now at least Mio is getting stronger and is not afraid of her own shadow. I can't wait til they finally get married. I hope it's not one of those stories when they only get married until the very end

i mean half the reason the supernatural stuff was in there was to give the saimori family a reason to abuse her cuz she couldnt use any supernatural abilities. Tho i think they couldve just made a different reason not including the supernatural 🤣

Especially when in the first episode it wasn't even said they have any powers. And I was sure it's typical history drama and then second episode and bam out of nowhere they have powers when no one even said anything about them

I would love to see humbled Kaya. Not that I want her to be a better person, but her reaction after finding out, that Miyo actually has an ability and powerful one on top of that, so she was in fact always inferior.

I don't think the series is any less interesting now because the Saimori family are just tropes of wicked step-families. I was banking on Kaya changing and maybe that will happen in the future, but that kind of development should happen off-screen.

I never got to know them to even try to miss them. They were not even interesting. I really do like the anime and the relationship between Kudou and Miyo. Just that none of the villains stand out enough for me to remember. I had to look up the Saimoris before hand to see who you were talking about

thats an understatement, its better with them gone because they are the opitimy of irritated, they also got what they deserved by not being in the picture anymore.

The Saimori's would have abused her no matter what. If she had abilities they knew of, they would have exploited her for god knows what. And when they thought she didn't have them, they treated her less than human. The Saimori's were just horrible people that would take advantage of her in the end. I'm glad they are out of the picture, but they got off the hook kinda easy because I think having their main home burnt down was not nearly enough punishment.

@Baranka02 I don't understand how some of you guys single out Kaya for your hate when she's not the one you should be directing the rage and anger at. She's an annoying character but the real criminals were the shit parents WHO BASICALLY MADE KAYA who she is in the first place.

@Piromysl It actually pisses me off how her parents still had a whole villa to fall back on. The worst characters in the entire show basically still get to live in luxury while their daughter whom they molded to be a b**** in the first place gets the real punishment. It's so damn jarring

@Baranka02 Bad take. The entire reason she was a shit person is on her parents. First of all she was clearly sheltered and spoilt beyond belief. In an environment like that a child is going to base their values and personality around what they grew up surrounded by. Kaya was surrounded by toxic shitty parents who made her believe that she was owed everything and her stepmother in particular was telling her from a very young age to view herself as above her sister and to not wish happiness for her sister. How do you actually expect a child to grow up in that environment and not come out an asshole? It's not like she was outside enough to understand that her parents were shit because she was sheltered. Friendly reminder this is a 16 year old girl as well...she's not even an adult and by all means IS a child.

I agree that shit parents don't always create shit children and that good parents don't always create good children, but it's undeniable that parents have a SIGNIFICANT amount of influence on their children, and it's a lot harder for a child to grow away from their parents in a sheltered environment where they don't see enough of the outside world to gain new perspectives or learn other ways than the ways of their parents.

Kaya is still guilty don't get me wrong, but she can at least be redeemed if she goes through her time as a servant and actually reflects on her actions and changed for the better. Her parents imo can't be redeemed. The best they can hope for is to atone for their sins.
