Hey OP, she said exactly “I think it’s okay for at least one person to pick up what you’re trying to throw away” this could mean Aki’s and Makabe relationship since Aki feelings are one sided, or Makabes own feeling since he just dated Aki for trying to make up for getting revenge. Im pretty sure Aki was giving Makabe a chance to go for who he really wants. It’s just my take though

I think the same way. I think she is asking him to pickup whichever girl he likes and not to chase him

@Spookydokii0 yeah it makes perfect sense. i was confused by one person. who is this guy. this episode was super confusing as anime only watcher with a damn cliffhanger.

I interpreted it as he was throwing away his current self to be with Aki and trying to appease her love of his past self, she could tell he didn't want to go back to how he was and he literally says something along the lines of its okay him eating sweets now because he's still exercising and that he doesn't want to go back to the way he was, i took her saying “I think it’s okay for at least one person to pick up what you’re trying to throw away” as her saying he deserved to be with someone who accepted and loved him for who he was now, being as she was trying to fatten him back up a few episodes ago 😂
