At the moment of crisis, Jingi chooses to flee, but for what reason?

The entirety of Ayaka Islands is suffering from the Fire Dragon's awakenng, and there is Yukito, always being called by the affinity of the dragon itself, because he's the yin to the yang, the Water Dragon no less, but now's not the time of awakening as efforts are concentrated on evacuation.

As Haruaki eventually reveals the water dragon to be Yukito, at the very least when he first stepped into the Ayaka Islands, there is not much semblance if a confirmation since the answer's been in our face all the time. Now, it's just training to repeat what his father had done before: to use his entirety of the Ley Energy and sacrifice his life in the process. And as both Haruaki and Aka try to allay the Fire Dragon in its place taking over Yukito's father's mantle, Yukito and the others come to their aid,

Not much further until the finish line...

Haruaki feeling that it's finally time for Yukito to face the truth, all of the tremors that he has faced before, his moment has arrived to be the sacrifice that the island needs. The fire dragon being one big Ara-Mitama, both Haruaki and Aka hold the fort while Yukito and the others make their way.

Deal with the big bad, the only plot left...
Well what were you expecting? The whole thing has built up to this point, this is literally the climax of the show. Also Jingi will have something special in mind, probably sealing the fire dragon or awaken the water dragon to calm the fire one.

Yukito being the water dragon is actually an interesting twist. In hindsight it was kinda obvious that something strange was going on with him given his abilities with water and proficiency with Ayakashic skills, but damn.

Fitting that the two students have to fight at the same place their master died. Of course there’s no way they’ll die. Yukito and the others will somehow save them, just a matter of how.

Pretty good, but I think they wasted a lot of time on flashbacks and buildup. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I feel like it could have been better executed. Also, this would be a lot more impactful but I just can't seem to feel anything for these characters. They all just seem kind of bland. I think most people watching knew he was the water dragon early on, so the big reveal was not so big at all. I do like the story and show and stuff but it just feels like it's executed with mediocrity.

it's finally officially revealed that yukito is the water dragon. i assumed as much a few episodes based on all the little hints dropped since the beginning of the show, but now yukito himself knows. definitely a huge thing for a 15 year old to process. he'll have to do that later though, as him and the others have decided to disobey orders and go help aka and haruaki seal the fire dragon once again.

jingi kind of just disappeared for the whole episode. i have a feeling he has something planned to try to stop the fire dragon. wouldn't surprise me if he's been making himself seem basically useless this whole time but actually has some insane skill up his sleeve. i mean, he /has/ to be more powerful than he's letting on considering makoto explicitly left yukito in his care. i really don't think makoto would leave jingi in charge of the water dragon embodiment unless he was positive jingi could handle it.

next episode titled "ill go with you". may be a reach, but could it mean yukito is going to offer himself up to the fire dragon? like "hey, im the water dragon you've been looking for. if you leave the islands alone, ill go with you."? or perhaps im reading way too far into it and it's just referring to the kids going with aka and haruaki. just very curious to see what happens with everyone and everything.

Things are heating up quick

Considering there is three episodes left I dont think the fire dragon is the final issue. Likely it will be related to Aka either going to turn or will turn into an aramitama

Here's what i think, its clear that Jingi didn't show-up but instead it was Yukito that assisted Aka & Haruaki...this might mean Jingi might steal the last hit for fame lolz!
or either if Jingi won't help, might just Yukito go all blue rage and stomp that hugea$$ Ara-Mitama!
5/5.

You know even though the connection was suspected from the beginning the journey makes the reveal worth it.

I like it best when my best boys look like girls. Mmmmm. Still the pair of them are total fail whales and need the kid squad to turn up and save them, maybe. Fight is only just starting!

@StateofOhayo yeah, there could've been a better way to execute this. The answer has always been obviously on screen all the time, but it's just that the decision was made to stretch this into an anime's runtime. I don't mind simple stories like this, but the execution is a big fail.
