Does anyone else think it’s a bit disappointing for the source?

I’ve been a fan of the manga series for a while now. And was excited for the anime adaptation. But the few episodes I’ve seen make it seem underwhelming. Some of the voices don’t match up with what I thought they would be. They cut some of the best moments like the police coming to arrest him and didn’t detail him obliterating his phone into the wall. It just feels like the most generic harem anime I’ve seen. I dunno if it’s just me. But why did they put more effort into the incest bait, one hit sister than this one.

I didn't read the manga, but I'm enjoying it. Just a bit worried about Kurage.

I know the manga has a joke about her never getting any fan-service, but after that ED last episode... I don't know. Maybe the anime changes that.

EDIT: Just read what was adapted. Lots of stuff was cut, not just jokes, even fan-service.

Dunno man. Never read the original and the anime seems like a random 6 to me.

Very slightly above average for a series like this.

Truly nothing special.

Kurage stands out as the funnier element, though.

Protag is also substantially less annoying than usual. Probably because he’s older.

But that’s kinda it.

I'll probably just drop this and that Hero thing, watching subpar non-nude ecchi just feels too desperate. lol

Doubt the studio received enough budget to do something decent tbh, this is just a common seasonal anime filler. Its not popular enough to expect good profit from DVD/streaming neither is good enough to spend money in marketing. The only ones who are going to consume it are the few loyal manga readers that will buy it regardless of the quality and random curious people, the rest won't bother because it's just an average soft ecchi with nothing remarkable to offer.

I sort of agree thus far. I myself have also read the source material long before the anime was announced so I was excited to see how certain scenes would play out but to see how they’ve cut some things while also having a VA who in my opinion does not really match the voice of Akagami at least how I would have pictured him having was kinda disappointing. However, besides that I’ve actually been enjoying it and love the cast of VA’s for everyone else! I feel like the studio is doing the best they can and so I’m looking forward to each Saturday

I don't know about the manga but honestly, I'm enjoying this series.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Yeah the anime hasn't done a great job overall, especially with the voices part. That still bothers me after 3 episodes, and the rest of the humor was adapted in a way that made it even more generic than it already was, like a mid-2000s ecchi/harem series. The actual comedy part isn't coming through effectively for me.
