i see there were many procon among the viewers about the animation of this anime. the things that i want to underline is

  1. the good about anime besides its storyline is its POV angle and background art/animation. im not the people who hate 3D/CGI that much, but if you implemented it in bad way, the result is this anime. i still can enjoy Attack on Titan 3D/CGI, they keep the environment natural or anime style-ish.
  2. Bad camera angle, what is that on the first 3 minutes of the first show? being unique is not always good, this first eps gives some unusual camera angle in anime (ofc the 3D implementation make it worse). i know that its hard and need many time and cost to make a dynamic scene only using traditional ways but i think the studio take the wrong step and many viewers dislike it.
  3. in the other hand, the animation and the art of the character face/visual is good, it's spoils my eyes especially the zoom in one. Studio made a good art & animation for the conversation scenes, it success to deliver the romance and the kyun kyun.

i hope the studio can consider it (even they are not gonna see this lol). i want to enjoy this anime to the fullest.

As I said many times before, you can't slap some Adobe After Effects overlay on stock imagery and then call it good visuals. It's like putting canned food in microwave and calling yourself a professional chef.
What makes this especially bad, is that they had the audacity to even zoom in at shots that look objectively horrendous like theat PNG of grass. And then a girl walked over that grass, which did not even flinched as if was concrete pavement. On top of that, it was also the very first frame of 2nd PV. They WANTED us to see it. WHAT THE FCUK
Or those ray of lights in stock classroom, which appear and disappear between shots.
Or Main Girl's haircolour just changing like that literally while in the forefront (but that might be the result of horrendous lighting).
They literally had to fuck this up deliberately, there is no other explanation.

I'm watching for the plot so it's alright if animation isn't top tier, as long as it's above average it's fine

I said this previously, but I think that the majority are overreacting because of those first 3 minutes, it was basically just an intro and those weird camera angles were never used again and the rest of the anime was perfectly fine and had normal animation with really beautiful scenes for the eyes and hair. Honestly some comments make it seem like the whole anime was filled with those camera angles. I honestly doubt we will see them using those camera angles in the future maybe in some scenes for a few shots again like an intro but I honestly doubt that it will play a major role in the animation of the anime.

about the weird angle, it's not just of those first 3 minutes, there are many unusual camera angles at the rest of the show, i wont show it here bcs im too lazy to do that but you can see there are many approach the studio used that similar with monogatari series and uchiage hanabi have, but that 3D weird scenery make it worse, they throwed the essence of anime artstyle away

Yeah it would be way better if they just stuck with the artstyle the manga had so the series actually looked normal lol

GoHands made me disappointed this time . From the camera angle, animation and the CGI. It looks really unnatural, art is ok for me but I can’t feel the character’s spirits like in manga (my opinion).
Hope they can do better in the future because I love this story a lot.

It might be unorthodox but it’s unique and it fits the anime’s theme. Considering it’s focused on the female lead and her eyesight, the directing works with the camera angles to mess with the audience’s vision of scenes. They obviously can’t make everything blurry, but they can at least use a different visual perspective. Like seeing the world through a different lens. At least that’s my interpretation.

I'm not really of a fan of the cgi during that scene when the mc was walking through the hall. it felt weirdly odd to me. I also noticed that some of the background characters were cgi aswell😭😭😭 no hate to the studio, I just don't prefer the cg

The CGI looks terrible, this does not feel like an anime at all. It feels like someone was like "make a good anime about a girl with glasses. And the animation team was like, "yes." It feels so lifeless, like I cannot explain it, but I just did not like it.

I think its better not to consider that cgi sequence in the opening. It did put me off a little but ive come to accept in the next decade or two we'll be able to say I want this story and in this visual style and the computer will sort it and display any content we want. For now though, I enjoyed this story, very cute premise and the conacts bit at the end. At this point in time I no longer care about animation, I just like story and this looks like it might deliver something moe

I've read the manga, not once did it make me physically ill.  The first three minutes of the anime made me so nauseous I had to stop watching.  That doesn't fit the theme at all.

And no, I'm not being hyperbolic, I have serious problems with 3D sickness and motion sickness.  The opening of the episode made me sick for real.

Takes me back to Seitokai Yakuidomo with that camera animation during the first episode on both seasons and I think also on their movie, and I love it!
