High card similar to western cartoons?

In my childhood I watched a lot of cartoon network or nickelodeon. And when I stated watching anime I felt that different vibe, not only animation style, but story wise and etc anime was different.
But high card really gives me vibes of western cartoons I watched when I was little,
Do you feel the same or me the only one?

I feel the same, idk if is because of the drawing style or something but it feels different

It had a lot of the "villain of the week" formula that most action cartoon shows had, plus most of the characters had white sounding names.
