I wanna know if it's more worth it to watch the anime or read the manga, is the adaptation faithful and brings the series to life more so than the manga does or as a more of a manga reader should i just read it?

Haven't read the manga nor do i know if it's translated, but i wholeheartedly vouch for anime. It is beautifuly crafted. Rakugo depictions benefit so much from good animation and incredible voice acting, you wouldn't be able to get that from manga. And it is a complete story that was well told in two seasons. Whether it was fully faithful to the source material i cannot say, but as a complete animated experience it shouldn't be missed.

100% this.

I haven't read the manga either, but can't imagine the MANY Rakugo performances being as effective as they were in the anime with the incredible voice performances. Even outside the Rakugo scenes, the voice acting & background score were award-worthy.

Opening songs for both seasons were AMAZING as well, with both their music & animation capturing the spirit & 'vibes' of this complex adult drama unbelievably well.

I read the manga a few years after watching the anime & both were great. I think having watched it already made a lot of the Rakugo scenes come to life while reading it though. The artwork in the manga definitely makes it worth a read, but I would probably recommend watching the anime and then reading when you're ready to revisit the story 😅
I didn't notice too many differences between the two.
