It's nice to finally see Gori and Washimi giving Retsuko the money for the deposit. They truly are BFFs. With only one episode left. I don't know how they are going to finish this arc as it feels like it just started.

At first I thought Shikabane had been in a fight but I think the marks on her cheeks are supposed to indicate that they're sunken; she's undernourished.

But it almost seems like her charecterzation is backwards. In episode 2 she clearly cares about Haida as she's trying to help him in some way in every scene in which she appears but now we learn she's this grim nihilist who only interested in shallow entertainment...or is that a deliberate trick in the storytelling? We, and Haida, first see her at her most motivated and considerate, only to learn how gloomy her life really is only now?

Retsuko's friendship with Gori and Washimi has been the most consistent relantionship she's had so it's nice to see it get some spotlight, even if they'd been demoted to the occasional commentary squad for the last season or two.

It was cool seeing a cameo from Puko, as well.

It definitely seems like this plot should have started two or three episodes sooner than it did. Even this episode on its own felt like it didn't take things far enough. The entire election is going to take place in just episode 10? And it's going to have to permenantly wrap things up for the major characters?

See also Haida's attempt to learn enough about programming to get a job in the field. I know he can be seen studying with his books and laptop in various scenes, but where is it going to go with just one episode left? Is it just going to be an ending montage kind of thing where it just shows him having gotten a job, or even just interviewing for one, and that's as far as it goes?

Dudeee, I thought the same thing, i was so worried she was being abused or something, glad it was just her being dirty or something. Honestly I didn't like Puko's design ever. Yes Washimi and Gori's friendship is one of the things I liked the most of the series as a whole, really emotional that they gave her the money that not even her parents would lend her, that they are the ones that believe in her the most

Gori and Washimi's speech made the entire episode. I don't think Retsuko will win but looking in retrospect all the support she has, it's kinda amazing thing to see ;')

asking for 3 mil..is he out his mind. You can tell they dont have that kind of cash lying around. Retsukos parents reaction was hilarious. Holy crap did taido buy the internet cafe we saw before? Jeez I feel bad for haidas former net cafe friends. Shikabane looks raggedy and the other dude sounds like hes broke and homeless. The moment with retseko, gori and washimi was sweet and how they admitted they just wanted to be friends just cause. I would like to know how just two of them got that crazy amount of cash.
