This is really good. Plot is strong part . Bgm is solid. Opening is cool but my only complain is ending. it could had been more better.
And ofcourse mappa nailed it

I think the characters were the strongest part. I enjoyed Dororo and Hyakkimaru and even his family that abandoned him. All well-written characters.

If only they make the ending scene where Hyakimaru and Dororo praying on Mio's grave and then just walk into distance while holding hands.
That will be the perfect ending for me.

He left to find his humanity, meanwhile she was building a community and they've met again after couple of years no?

Yeah but a happier ending is not the same as a better ending from a narrative perspective.

Other than that I agree with you. Very unique concept.

I like this anime because it's quite different. Just the story line, characters and fighting makes perfect sense, especially the cliff hanger at the end gets everyone excited for what will happen next.It has all the emotions a person desires especially sorrow and pain.

I think the ending had to be exactly like this.

An ending where Hyakkimaru is suddenly King and everybody loves him now would've been a Disney-Level stereotype.

yup the episode of first cour had a damn consistent flow the story was slow but it was a good pacing i think mappa should have taken an another season really because as much the first cour was slow the second cour was that much fast really, and the cour 1 op and especially ed was damn fantastic i even kept the ed in my Spotify playlist
