I think a0t3a was exaggerating just a little bit but you’re not exactly right either. Those scenes were sexualized and usually I wouldn’t have a problem with that (this is anime we’re talking about), but it felt out of place in this anime and thus the sexualization part stands out more. I wouldn’t say the show has a lot of sexualization, or any more than your typical high school anime (perhaps even less) but when it does happen it kind of feels a lot more dirty and wrong than normal high-school anime because it contrasts with the overall tone of the show. I loved the anime but man we could’ve done without the transformations and that stupid useless little robot. |
