I feel like I'm the only one reading this. I want to talk to someone about this manga because I absolutely love it. If you're caught up with the manga, can we please talk about it? No one ever talks about it.

Just finished volume 8.. my favorite character is Prince Tenyou. He is kind and understanding. I really liked how small things were easily resolved, instead of wasting time with misunderstandings. It wasn't about Rangetsu being a girl and wasting time on this plot. It was specially about her goal to find what happened to her brother. I also liked her relationship with the other characters and how different they were. In the first volumes i think the plot was too simple, but in volume 7 or 8 it got a lot better.

Yes!! Prince Tenyou is amazing. I have to kind of agree. I wasn't a big fan of how it focused a ton more on the romance after the first few volumes but totally didn't hate it. Maybe I didn't like it because I want Rangetsu myself. Like she's so pretty, she's perfect. I also noticed how Rangetsu's eyes changed over time when being with Prince Tenyou. If you look at the recent chapters her eyes are bigger more...feminine, not sure if that's the right word. I was so mad when she cut off her hair.  I hate how even the hateable characters are so fine. It makes it hard to hate them. Except for the other prince, I forgot his name. I can't forgive him for SA Rangetsu.

Rangetsu is great. She's been through so much... Yesss, her eyes really changed and I think it's due to her love for the prince. He gives her a sense of relief and protection from all of her problems. In the beginning when she's by herself her eyes were sharp and aggressive. Once it started focusing in the romance only, it seems she was forgetting her goal and even though it was in an heart breaking way, the prince's servant (i forgot his name) made her remember the reason she was in the palace. The author gave reasons for every character to act the way they do and that's good cause you can understand their behavior, but I can't forgive that prince for doing that to Rangetsu.
If you have read volume 8 than you're probably hyped just like me ! That was the best part of the story!

I am all caught up with it. Actually, depending on your area, books a Million will sometimes have prereleases. I found volume 8 like a month before when it was supposed to release on amazon. I am so interested to see what will happen next. I saw a lot of bad reviews in the previous forums for the manga and I'm flabbergasted. I also love Rangetsu's new outfit. I really want to cosplay her, but I don't know how to make costumes and you won't find any online. I hope when the manga is done releasing, they decide to make an anime for it. Though I doubt it as I've noticed none of the other works from Rei Toma have been adapted into an anime. I have noticed it getting some popularity from manga tiktokers though so maybe it'll get enough popularity to adapt. I personally believe some like 96Neko, she's mainly a utaite (Japanese singer) but she's also voice acted in an anime that she also sung the opening for. Watching said anime isn't going to help convince but if you listen to her, she has a very nice voice. I think she would be perfect for Rangetsu if they made it an anime. If they didn't use 96Neko, I think Romi Park (VA for Edward Elric and Hange Zoe) would be acceptable. I think 96Neko would be the best choice though. For Prince Tenyou I'm thinking someone like Hanae Natsuki (Kaneki Ken and Tanjiro) I don't think he's perfect, but he has that soft voice. I think Prince Tenyou would have a very soft voice.

I'm in Brazil so I have to wait the release on Amazon... I started reading it cause I liked the covers lol. And then I stayed for the characters and the story. I'd say there is a chance of it becoming  an anime if the manga sells well. This is the first Rei  Toma's manga I read, but I'm interested to see the other manga that is in the same world of The king's beast. When I'm reading I don't think about the voice, but now that you mentioned I think it'd be nice to have the Armin's Seiyuu (from AoT) as Rangetsu. Since Rangetsu is probably trying to sound like a man but still has a delicate complexion, Armin's voice would suit well. I never heard of 96Neko, but I'll definetly check it out. I think Romi Park's voice doesn't suit Rangetsu's personality but I might be wrong cause she is a great seiyuu and can change her voice to suit the character. For Prince Tenyou, Hanae Natsuki seems perfect for the reasons you pointed.

Oooo Armin's is a good choice. 96Neko is amazing. I haven't read any of her other series either, but I do plan on it once I can find them. The art style is so beautiful. I would hope if it was made into an anime, it could be like Takt OP Destiny with the MAPPA x Madhouse animation. The animation was great for that anime, so I think it'd be a good choice. Since it is gaining a bit of popularity, I think it has a chance. I'm praying. For Sogetsu omg I have the voice in my head, but the name isn't coming to me nor any of the roles. Maybe Shinichiro Miki (Roy Mustang in FMAB) would be a good fit. I would have high hopes for it to be an anime. I'm so overly excited to see what'll happen next. The next volume comes out real soon. I'll be getting it as soon as it releases. I may even make a stop to Books A Million to see if I can find a prerelease.

I read it! Rangetsu is great :)
The siren of a flightless bird

Quietly destroying its cage

Dance, until tonight, with a raised voice-

For I don't want to lose hope!

She truly is, Rangetsu is so well written. She's also incredibly pretty. Prince Tenyou really hit the jackpot. They are a good pair.
