Personally I believe this anime to he a masterpiece. If some rough cgi is a deal breaker for you, then I would read the manga and begin watching at season 2.

I honestly grew accustomed to the poor cgi during the first season, so it didn't bother me. The characters and story are too hype to be held back by animation.

I'm curious cuz, the first 2 Season are made by Studio Pierrot, while s3 and s4 are made by MAPPA, my main question is, is the anime as good as the manga? or is the anime a good adaptation?

Season 1 and 2 has cgi, season 1 comparatively more.... Season 3 onwards its 2d with minimal to unnoticeable cgi

Gore and violence is heavily toned down in the anime compared to the manga.

Except these I think anime is better than manga because you can cover up the episodes in a week or something..

All 4 seasons were animated by Pierrot. The team working on season 1 is different from season 2. Season 3 onwards a new team is working along with Studio Signpost Pierrot's subsidiary.
MAPPA had nothing to do with this anime's production (don't know where you got that idea from)

The anime is pretty much a perfect adaptation other than the censorship, and one tiny arc that was skipped in the first season. You can’t go wrong with either to be honest, I read through 250 chapters or so then started watching it as I read through the rest of the manga.

The anime does tone down the gore pretty significantly and season 1&2 are meh with the animation. After that is pretty dope. Love the soundtrack and voice actors. The animation in season 3 and on is okay in my book because the story is what carries this show.
