Kadokawa opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Piero Karasu's Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei (The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady) on Friday, revealing the main cast, staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and the first promo. The anime series will debut in 2023.

Voice actresses Sayaka Senbongi (Kageki Shoujo!!) and Manaka Iwami (Gamers!) are starring as Anne-Sophia von Palletia and Euphyllia Magenta, respectively.

Staff
Director: Shingo Tamaki (Ahiru no Sora)
Series Composition: Wataru Watari (Isekai Yakkyoku)
Character Design: Naomi Ide (Kantai Collection: KanColle)
Studio: Diomedéa

Karasu began penning the girls love comedy fantasy series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2019. Kadokawa began publishing the novel under its Fantasia Bunko imprint the following January, featuring illustrations by Yuri Kisaragi. The fourth volume shipped last August, with the fifth volume scheduled for release on August 20.

Monthly Dengeki Maoh began serializing a manga adaptation by Harutsugu Nadaka in July 2020. Kadokawa released the third volume on February 10, with the fourth volume planned for an August 26 release.

Yen Press licensed the light novel and manga in English and published the first novel and manga volume on April 12 and May 24, respectively. The second volume of each is scheduled for release on August 16 and September 6.

Synopsis
Despite her supposed ineptitude with regular magic, Princess Anisphia defies the aristocracy's expectations by developing "magicology," a unique magical theory based on memories from her past life. One day, she witnesses the brilliant noblewoman Euphyllia unjustly stripped of her title as the kingdom's next monarch. That's when Anisphia concocts a plan to help Euphyllia regain her good name-which somehow involves them living together and researching magic! Little do these two ladies know, however, that their chance encounter will alter not only their own futures, but those of the kingdom...and the entire world! (Source: Yen Press)

Oh, the Japanese have finally gotten around to adapting those gay power fantasy about lesbians who save the isekai from authoritarianism. I wonder how soon the turn will reach that LN.

Judging from past yuri adaptations, the producers seem to just go to the mangadex and randomly poke at works from the top of the list.

Judging by the comments on the announcement, yuri will be the only factor for people to watch it or not.

If you want to watch it because of yuri, there will be more good works in the genre next year.

Because it's actually a lower quality and hyped version of "I'm in love with the villainess". But anyway, occasional adaptations of the most hyped works seem like an expected solution if they want to gradually make money from mainstream yuri adaptations.

It was sarcasm? Because you literally described the classic reaction of any isekai hater to any work in the genre that does not have a male MC.

not really , if it was an isekai/harem i wouldn't watch it or even write a comment in this thread , i gave up on the harem genre a long time ago
yuri is one of my fav genres and we don't get a lot of yuri anime every year , like 2-3 max

This Isekai is actually quite fun to watch. The yuri is not that explicit as far the first volumes went. It's a slow burn romance.

Hmmm, only one volume has been published by Yen Press~

Are LNs getting adapations too quickly? I remembered that it took 14 volumes for Seirei Gensouki to get an anime adaptation. Nowadays, it only take 4-5 volumes to get an adaptation~

This is a relatively old work actually. It's just that in the West it was opened quite late compared to the Japanese audience. The original web novel is already finished.

It will be adapted anyway, although I already see how the woke character of LN will cause controversy.

This is so good! One of the best yuri stories currently, I mean if you don't just want basic vanilla yuri romance. This is isekai fantasy yuri and it is good. I have been waiting for some time now that anime industry would wake up and realize that there are untapped potential here. This and I Favor The Villainess are yuri stories which are incredible popular.

So far we are getting four yuri for the next year:
• Yuri is my job
• Magical Revolution
• Young ladies don't play fighting game
• Birdie wing S2

I’m 100% sure that we will get more. More announcements are surely coming at fall. What will we get? Maybe some of these: Watanare, WataOshi, Omae gotoki ga maou, Teapot Hero’s Revenge, Adachi to Shimamura S2, Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete, Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon, Did I Seriously Just Get Reincarnated as My Gag Character? There is no doubt that WataOshi will get soon too because it is insane popular.

Let’s yurification begin!

Isn't it nice to finally adapt an isekai with a really different theme, but people simply reject it because they are fed up with isekai for so much garbage that should never have existed?
anyway konosuba is something much more cliche and typical

Yeah. This really is different than those generic overpowered male harem protagonists stories which we have overflowing. It is always really nice to have something different like Virgin Road and this or Hamefura.

What is this, really? Are you trying to pitch it, make excuses for it? It's more Isekai junk, whatever you mean by "different theme" is not going to fix it.

anyway konosuba is something much more cliche and typical

It's also completely irrelevant. Why bring it up here?

you don't know anything about the story you are criticizing, you only prejudge it for being isekai, you haven't even seen a single chapter and they're judging it on the same level as things like "smartphone isekai" or "harem in the labyrinth" which is stupid and makes no sense

and clearly konosuba is part of the same category, but you watch every season and rating great score it

Well, Madoka doesn't have a tag because it was never an actual yuri show, but I know it's something like "common knowledge" so ok.
