Do I have to read? (manga readers)

Season 1 had an anime original ending arc after apparently skipping something that'll be important to the future.

Do I have to read certain manga chapters to keep up with the plot of season 2 so far? If so, please provide the chapter numbers. Thanks in advance.

So far they have reconnected well to the manga after the previous season's original arc, although they need to make some adjustments in the next few episodes. So you don't need to read any chapter. This is just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong.

I'm reading the manga at the same time I see season 2, you better go all over the manga, or watch the anime, because the manga changes little things, and it's better to read it from the start.
Also, the author it's working with cloverworks for making the anime original conect good with the manga arcs, even if they are anime original

So far it's looking like you won't have to read the manga for it to make sense, since they're reconnecting with it pretty smoothly. Like others said, though, might need to see how the next few chapters play out.

That said, if you enjoy the story enough, I would recommend the manga. Even if you know the main plot points of the story, it's still a very enjoyable read.

No, you don't. You might want to read the manga anyway though. It's very good. It goes far deeper than the anime has, so far at least.
