Is it just me or the two inui sisters are an unnecessary part in the anime, it would have been more enjoyable to watch if it was only kitagawa and gojo but the two girls that came out of nowhere are kinda boring ngl, they should've just kept kitagawa and gojo's relationship developing rather than introducing two random girls, but thats just my opinion.

My guess is that the author wanted to make a harem with some variety, but Marin was so popular/perfect that they just decided to ignore the sisters and go all-in on Marin instead

I wouldn’t say harem. It’s more like they were put in there to show off Gojo’s character more, by him making multiple cosplays and helping her sister out with her first cosplay. They were good characters to have

I think the show was going to be repetitive if the story was only about Gojo and Marin from start to finish, so instead they choose to add more girls and show their different taste/ambition in Cosplay which was a successful choice since it added a lot of variety and fun
But their fan service was unnecessary as always, especially that scene in the bathroom

Well the thing is that they introduce lost of girls in this series, but its always about Marin and Gojo. Which is almost unheard of in all the anime Ive watched.

I felt it was kinda boring when they introduced the two other girls I also kinda don't like them but I think they focus on developing the relationship between gojo and marin

I think that they’re interesting because they help Gojo(and the viewers) discover what kind of community is the the cosplay community and the type of people that there is in it. Both of them also help Gojo reflect on his relationship with other characters imo.
Although they’re not very important, the show would be very bland without the introduction of other characters.

they're part of world building. Like it or not, the anime isn't only about the main pair romance. It's about cosplay as well, and not only those 2, there'll be other new characters introduced to explain more about the cosplay community, make up, photography, clothing, etc. Also to develop Gojo's character further as well tbh, I mean it'll be pretty one dimensional if he only interacts with Marin the whole show

I don’t really think its supposed to be like a harem. I think the author put them so there were be more cosplayer characters involved. Cause if Marin is into cosplay then ofc we would see more cosplayer characters get introduced.

They will not be considered a contender for the crown, and yes you're right, they do not contribute to the main storyline by any means, but how does an anime exist with only 2 characters? :) the side character might be boring or not relatable, but it's a seasonal anime, what can we expect more, the anime is purely enjoyable.

I actually find them to be the best part of the series lol, they added some more interactions and not just Marin-Gojo interaction. Besides, Sajuna is a cutie and became of my favourite girls, I really liked her backstory and I like her tsundere behaviour.

I would say that the only complain would be that they appeared literally after Marin said she was in love with Gojo, kinda convenient if you ask me. But good thing they aren't part of the harem, just means that the series has a lot of girls also with the MC but that aren't in love with them, it kinda reminded me somewhat of Nagatoro (I actually made a recomendation to it).

They are there to expose more of the personality of Marin and Gojo I believe. It is also a great tool to introduce new cosplay knowledge into the manga without always resorting to go on the internet gor all information.

theyre not the best but i like them. its nice to see marin having friends with this particular interests. and it can't always be marin-gojo lmao i feel like That would make it more boring
