| So....I was on u-tube comment section ( basically a community post )....... about who is best anime dad......and I saw some people talking about how bondrewd best........(I haven't watched MIA that time......)......so now when I watched it totally (alongside movie).......are they serious about him....or is it just irony ??? ( Like "shou Tucker is best dad" thing..) As much as I see ( haven't read the manga)......he is just more awful version of shou Tucker.......and with helmet..... Old don't spoil |

| It's part irony, and part truth, but mostly irony. Even after what he did, he seemed to genuinely care about all the children like they were his own. It's just that he cared about his experiments and his desire to reach his goals a bit more, so much so, that he managed to maintain his sanity (albeit how farther strayed) even after using the zoaholic. |

Old don't spoil In short “best dad” is ironic… but Bondrewd is a fantastic character and is actually far better and “moral” than Shou Tucker. Shou Tucker is pathetic. He does what he does out of fear and desperation. He only experiments on his kids because he is selfishly wanting to keep his job. Bondrewd on the other hand has no malice. He genuinely loved everyone he experimented on (he remembers all of their names and dreams) and views their deaths and loss of humanity as noble sacrifices for a better tomorrow. He is a vile person but doesn’t do what he does out of hate, he does it out of love. That is what makes him a fantastic antagonist. I mean he is actively rooting for the main characters to defeat him. If they are able to achieve their goal and continue onward the world will gain things, he can see that and enjoys that. He’s also proud of Nanachi for coming as far as they did. Bondrewd has his own goals but understands the apredations of others. Shou Tucker is self centered and did what he did because he feared the future. Bondrewd did terrible things, but did it because he genuinely believes it is the way for scientific advancements to be made. He wants to improve the world and make discoveries, at any cost. In a way Bondrewd is the truest form of science, pure discovery with no rules. While he might not be “best dad” (a meme that people say), he’s certainly a very interesting and well written character. |

Now I can say with certainty - Bondrewd >> Shou tucker. Although on the outside their characters may seem same, they're vastly different . You can go on and on talking about Bondrewd, trying to understand his ideals, goals, his weird twisted love while Shou tucker is just: weird dude who was too scared to lose his alchemist title so sacrificed his only daughter for chimera research cuz he was a coward. |
| Bondrewdad is the best dad to the the point that he has dad in his name. Shou doesn't hv dad in his name. Henceforth Basedrewd > Shou Jokes aside tho he is written much better than shou. And ngl with kira's voice he is damn entertaining as well. Really inspiring figure 🗣🗣 |
