Why is this released in OVA format since season 2?

I watched season 1 long ago when it was airing. I enjoyed it at the time, it was like Index.

Didn't realize this series continue up to 5 "seasons" as OVAs. I think that kills the hype compared to a TV series, doesn't show up in the seasonal anime lists either since it's not technically a seasonal anime.

i feel you but quanzhi gaoshou is the same if im not mistaken, season 2 was ova(a fast af ova i think we got 2 episodes every week i watched it when it was aired) and now season 3 about to be ova as well.

i think ova is just for other countrys no?

and btw i saw strike the blood final got eps 1 and 2 out but 3 4 are out as well no? where can i watch them?

The first episodes were released on March 30 and subbed by animotvslash on April 10. The next two episodes will be released on June 29.

I simply googled "strike the blood final sub" and found out that animotvslash has already subbed the first two episodes.

animotvslash did fansubs for every season and episode since S2 went all OVA disk only sales. ;)
just an ol school otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.
