The AnimeJashin event at Akihabara CulZone revealed new staff and a key visual (pictured) for the third Jashin-chan Dropkick (Dropkick On My Devil!) anime season—Jashin-chan Dropkick X (Dropkick On My Devil!! X)—on Sunday. Vocaloid superstar Hatsune Miku will make an appearance in the new season, which is scheduled for a July 2022 premiere.
Prior to the third season's premiere, Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting will air its own edition of Jashin-chan Dropkick X: Mame Anime on April 7. The program will feature Jashin-chan and the others visiting various Hokkaido locations with Hatsune Miku, who's well-informed about the prefecture. The Hokkaido edition of the program is also linked with Domingo, an information media that showcases the appeal of Hokkaido.

The production committee launched a crowdfunding campaign for the third season in October 2020, which exceeded its goal of 20 million yen (approximately US$190,000) within 33 hours. The third season was subsequently green-lit for a 2022 premiere. The campaign ended in December that year with over 36 million yen (approximately US$295,000), backed by 2,880 patrons.
The first season premiered in 11 episodes in Summer 2018, with a 12th episode debuting in October that year. The second season streamed exclusively on Amazon's Prime Video platform in April 2020. Crunchyroll also simulcast the season worldwide excluding Asia.
Jashin-chan Dropkick adapts Yukiwo's supernatural comedy manga, which began on the Comic Meteor online magazine in April 2012. Flex Comix published the 18th volume on December 10 last year.
