| The small step Mettermeyer had to make before kissing Evangelin was super cute. The twin pillars are probably going to be more relevant to the story from now on which is why we had this flashback with their backstories. Reinhard looks more isolated than ever, Oberstein must be over the clouds with what he was able to achieve. The hierarchy of the Empire never ceases to appall me, curious to see how Reinhard stepped in to save Mettermeyer from the fangs of these disgusting nobles. I like this kind of episode as well, a good way to connect with the characters and get to know them on a personal level, outside of their military roles and positions. We see here for example Mettermeyer's values and how he's similar to Reinhard in the sense that he does not support the discrimination based on social status that seems to rule in the Empire. |

| Mittermeyer is still one of the best characters, glad to see that hasn't changed. |
| Got to learn more about Mittermeyer and Reuenthal. it was about time to learn more about these two. This episode made my love for Mittermeyer as a character grow, he's just great. His story with his wife Evangeline was also sweet. Reuenthal on the other hand his story was quite tragic leading him to view all women like his mom. There was also more Reinhard with Kircheis which is just sad to see. This episode ended on a cliffhanger leaving me wanting more but I have to wait until next week. |

| I finally caught up after binge watching the last part of Season 2 over the weekend. So this episode focuses on the Twin Pillars of Mittermeyer and Reuenthal. Mittermeyer was standing up against the nobles who were abusing their power in the military after the assassination attempt. Reuenthal had the tragic backstory of being born with two sets of eyes as proof that he was a product of his mother's affair and it looks like Reuenthal is trying to save Mittermeyer in the cliffhanger. It's take a while to get use to the new OP and ED after enjoying the Binary Star OP and the Wish and Tranquility EDs. |

| The Galactic Empire's nobility never stops to disgust me. Straight up murdering and looting just like barbarians. Mittermeyer now is a prisoner of the nobles. Reuenthal will need to get all the help he needs to save him. On he other hand, the proposal was adorable. Very well-directed episode featuring the Twin Pillar's backstories. |

| Wait, so they connected Klopstock with Reinhard saving Mittermeyer? Interesting way of including the Klopstock incident lol (though it was kind of butchered). I liked how they did the backstories, but if I understood correctly, Reuenthal met Mittermeyer after he got married in this version? Also Reuenthal's backstory is missing a bit, I hope we get to see more in the next episode. Anyhow, I love my boys! |

| Pretty good again, Mittermeyer is best boy. Regarding Reuenthal and women, I hope this version will keep one of the top5 weirdest scenes of all time, when he and some girl say they hate each other followed by a weird stare .. and s3x. Really looking forward to that. |

| So after watching this episode 2 of season 3, I have now seen 26 episodes. This anime has no grey area. It is all black or white The "good people" are drawn handsomely/attractive and they are in shape. They have strong morals and will never coward at the sign of any danger, and will always stand for whats right The "bad people" are drawn ugly or always have a hostile face. Sometimes they are drawn as overweight. They are pure bastards who are just evil for being evil, with their evil laugh. They will coward at the first sign of danger. For an anime that likes to pride itself as a the best of the best, this is a glaring issue. This anime is barely about Yan vs Rein, and its mostly about the "good" people vs the "bad" people |
