Totally agree, I enjoy this slice of life more than I do my dress up darling. The character designs and character themselves are fun, plot moves on in surprising ways. Quality humor and dialogues. I love the pacing and multiple characters getting introduced. It is definitely time to buy the books, but I'll read after sn 1 finishes airing. |
| This show is amazing and I enjoy it lot. I would give this a 10/10 rating. Seeing people complain so much about so many anime on here makes me seriously wonder what people actually believe is a good anime, and I bet I would probably hate the anime they chose too. 🤣 hahah |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |

| in a way i think its that people see it as “just like Realist Hero” and didnt bother…and of course the first episode having a meh first impression (tho i do like the banter between Wein and Ninim) plus add to the fact, as far as streaming in the west is concerned, its on Funimation and not Crunchyroll since usually CR shows get more buzz |
| its turned out to be a much better show than Realist Hero. the characters are better written espcially the women who seen to actually have a brain unlike realist hero where they stan around waiting to be collected like Pokemon by Souma. Ninym is a great character and Wien has grown on me as well. the show doesn't rely on massive info dumps to get across what its trying to achieve. I hope the final score is higher than Realist hero even if its only by a small margin as its a far better show. |
| Ehh. Don't think it's underrated or anything. It's mediocre at best, so mediocre reception is just right. Personally would rate it even lower than what the current score across all sites are rating it now. People on reddit seem to like it but IDK why. |

| I am far more surprised why so much trash LN and manga are being adapted into anime, this was unheard of 15 years ago, but now it seems like mandatory to do at least one. Whats that got to do with this anime though? Nothing really, its just funny that we are used to seeing so much trash lately, that a 6/10 - 7/10 anime becomes "underrated" its a good anime but it aint an 8 I think people need to stop thinking 6 or 7 are bad scores, cause they aint it just means more people are divided about whether its good or not, which means you just have to watch a bit of it yourself to see if you like it, stop relaying on scores too much, rely more on the two eye balls you got. |

| People are comparing this show to Realistic Hero saying that it is better but I think it is not. It definitely has better characters, but the show is worse than the Realistic Hero. Realistic Hero focus on making the kingdom work properly and they explain how they intend to do that, more, they did a lot of things focusing on the evolution of the kingdom, to actually improve their value in economics, society, and political/army and not just the army/political side like this one. People that play a lot of games, and see/compare this with their tactics, don't realize this much often but to build an actual functional kingdom/empire/country/other and have powerful Political and military influence it forcefully needs to have a good economy and a stable society. Workforce generates money, and both generate power, which you need to manage (politically), that's the basic, and Realistic Hero tried to focus on all of them. This one, however (so far, I'm on 3rd ep) only focuses on the final end (which is what the major part of the games do), because of this I think this show is worse than the realistic hero (because in an unreal world, it tried to be as realistic as they could), despite the characters of this show being WAY BETTER the premisses lacks a lot of things and for me, it defined its rate. Now as for being underrated... Nah! I don't think it was. It actually has roughly the same amount of people that watched as the other shows (100k+/-) and an equally average score (7 +/-). People don't make much hype for this kind of show, and as others said, AoT was airing at the same time so it was expected to turn out like this. |
| For the ones that like to bother others (like me) with "you should read the manga/LN", please stop. I don't read mangas, I will NOT read mangas, I will not listen to what manga readers complain in adaptation to the anime counterpart, I only watch anime except in very few and specific situations. |
| I like it to a certain extent (and cute waifus, always a plus), but looking at it wholistically it felt rushed (seems to cover 5 vol in 12 eps, that's a LOT) and it's basically just Wein reacting to crisis after crisis as opposing to taking the initiative and invade another nation, for example. I do appreciate that the author shows Wein's OP intellect not by pitting him against unnaturally dumb villains (except that dumb son character) but actually pitting him against competent rulers. Maybe more time for the arcs (and only cover, say 3 or 4 vol, or have 2 cour worth of screen time) would've fleshed out the diplomatic conflicts more and make it look like tough negotiations instead of Wein dominating through all negotiations like its child's play. I keep comparing Tensai Ouji to Shoukoku no Altair and Tensai Ouji loses out every time. |
