they skipped the biggest and most interesting arcs; they left out so many cool characters that we came to love; norman was almost like a god. everything in the manga was just so much better on every aspect so i do highly recommend you to just read it anyways.

There are a lot of brutal arcs after the first season that the anime has both written out and changed significantly. I watched the second season and then went straight to the manga vol 5. I'm currently on vol 14 and can say that it's damn well worth reading.

Would anyone recommend me getting the whole manga series from season one to two or just for season two?

There’s honestly too many differences to list. You should just read it for yourself.

start from the beginning. While season 1 is overall a faithful adaptation, even it left out some things from the manga.

Only 1 difference,

Manga went downhill after the goldy pond arc(around chapter 90 onwards) where as Anime went downhill from the first episode of 2nd season.

Conclusion: Both the manga and the anime are trash after the first arc of the manga or the 1st season of anime. Just watch s1 of anime and drop this shit for good.

There’s a ton of differences. Too many to shortly summarize. If you really want to know just read the manga. It’s really good!

huh? The manga cut out several arcs and characters and made several changes to the story. Even if you don’t like either, there’s objectively way more than just one difference between the two.

I said it more in a "sarcastic" way because you will only waste your time in reading the manga. I used to pull my hair out of frustration everyday while reading this.

Eh. Goldy Pond was pretty good. After that it did go downhill but I would still say that at least read Goldy Pond.

Goldy Pond had enough content to be an entire season like the first season. They cut their own throats. It’s baffling.

Yeah for real.

That's why I always say to the people who say "They just wanted to finish the series." that...why? Why finish it, then? Why not "finish" it by doing a faithful adaption of the Goldy Pond arc and then call it quits, at least leaving people happy that they got an amazing arc. and then if it was super successful, maaaybe commit to making another season? Ah well, it's a moot point.

last chapters were obviously rushed so bad, things happened without too much development. It was a big mess, a lot of things were just being thrown to readers just to make some situations happen. Some well-loved character were watered down too, slowly became a side kick

If you loved s1 bc of battle of wits, it slowly turned more of action/adventure than battle of wits. The *only* thing that I liked post s1, were the characters (but their arc was skipped in s2).

s1 is one of my fave anime, but I hated s2 and the manga after s1
