 Avex Pictures announced a television anime adaptation of Yuuto Yotsuba and Ryou Ogawa's Paripi Koumei (Ya Boy Kongming!) manga on Wednesday, revealing the main cast, production staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promo. The anime series, produced by P.A. Works, is scheduled to premiere in April 2022.Ryoutarou Okiayu (Asobi Asobase) and Kaede Hondo (Zombieland Saga) are starring as Zhuge Kongming and Eiko Tsukimi, respectively. Tsukimi's singing voice will be announced at a later date. This marks the first time P.A. Works is adapting a manga title. | The synopsis seems simple but I'm looking forward to see an ancient looking guy to reborn in a peaceful looking modernistic world plus good interaction with the guitar girl. The art looks really nice and the guitar playing in the background is very chilling. |

| That's a weird title they chose as their first manga adaptation. I wonder what they are going to do with the slightly more risque clothing the female entertainers sometimes wear. Looking through the manga they can become quite "sexy", which PA Works usually shuns like the plague. The story itself didn't seem all too interesting, but maybe it will be more to my liking in animated format. |
| That sounds funny as hell considering who Zhuge Liang was. Haven't checked the manga so don't know how they portrayed him but hopefully if he is as smart as he was in real life it should be a damn funny series. Will have to check this out for sure as a big fan of that period and of Zhuge Liang. |
