why this anime gets hate so much?

aside from makoto who is a bad character i dont really found this anime to be bad... infact i found it to be a greatest, a close masterpiece to me this anime is somewhere between 9 or 10/10 so its 9.5/10 but mal doesnt allow decimals so i gave it a 10/10. this anime is sure something else i like every moment of it especially the last 3 episodes

so why does this anime gets hate so much please tell me why?

Because it's miserable to sit through just for the payoff of the ending. The ending is easily one of the most satisfying endings imo, but the build up to the ending is miserable, it has only unlikable characters and uses that to it's advantage

At this point it has to be the meme, like with Boku no Pico. I doubt kids these days bother to watch it, and anyone who has played the visual novel knows better.

The audiences at that time didn't consider this was a true bad end's masterpiece. They only saw the cast detestable.

i mean even if u just watch the last 2 ep u can pretty much figure out the entire story plot and setting. And plus the chars are dumb and MC is a tier 1 asshole. Idk what u found out in this to be great or awesome.

People seem to think having a painful experience isn't entertaining. But that's what makes this anime so good and the end so much pay off. However their are plot holes and it's stupid how everyone just loves the main character. But yeah overall it's a very entertaining experience.

The rating has gone up significantly over time believe it or not. It was at 5.45 before.

Because it's a controversial anime which based it off of the controversial route in the Visual Novel. What do you expect, it to be smooth sailing and fine?

this show is the only show I haven't given a rating for since my thoughts on it are so convoluted.

Ong this show gets too much hate, although I can kinda understand why, but I find it funny tbh, sometimes when people ask me what my favorite anime is, I just say school days for shits and giggles. But yeah people should play the VN at least cause man there's so many other endings besides the one they chose for the anime, and people would always refer to the ending (and also the characters) to why they hate school days. Even so I found the ending so wild, but interesting, and I love it cause of how the studio just trolled the viewers.

School Days really gets a bad reputation because of the whole show as a whole, people didn't like the Characters, the ending (even if it was satisfying), they found it boring too, and a bunch of other reasons.

Well i have seen over 100 romance animes so thats for sure isn't the case that i hate it for no reason it had potential to be one of the greatest animes like angel beats did i just have problem with the character build up and their attitude its worse than shitty animes out there and the ending is very quick i guess, i dont mind the visuals tho, but still everyone has their own opinion

I think one aspect is definitely just how it is categorized. In MAL, it's categorized as a romance drama. I could be totally wrong here but I can't imagine many people watch romance animes for a story like that or an ending like that. I certainly wasn't prepared. I didn't like any of the characters and the ending just pushed my dislike for everyone further. I get that people can like that kind of thing but it definitely wasn't for me.

I honestly agree quite alot with you, but in my opinion, its like 8.5/10 for me, only because I didn't enjoy the harem shit within it, and the protagonist did kind of annoy me. I guess people don't like yanderes these days.

(In my opinion) I hate it because the MC is trash, he is sex-addicted and for example when he slowly began to not like kotonoha. When Kotonoha got raped (did she actually gets raped?)... When Sekai faked that she was pregnant. That's all.
But maybe i think the reason people hate this is because they "judge a bok by its cover". They must have thought that this anime would be a normal, not a pshycopaht like anime. Because that's what happend to me, if i tell you the truth.

All 11 episodes are shit but the 12th episode is loved because of the fact that they killed of makoto and when I saw that death scene I emmidietly got an orgasam of how great it was
