| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- A nice warm lunch in the coldness of Kyoto, but there's a power outage in the Maiko House...which means no to minimum heat to expunge the cold. Kiyo though has a better idea: the shabu-shabu hotpot for lunchtime. A towel washing sound, hmm... Kiyo's mom is under the weather from preparing for the New Year's, but it's definitely weird to have Udon as a sick person's recovery meal in Kyoto. Even more so for Kiyo's Aomori Udon dish that doesn't taste as good as it looks, and the venture to get ingredients to make Kyoto Udon for her mom. Kiyo getting tips and tricks along the way makes the dish even more savory. Sumire making rounds visitng teahouses to gain her recognition to be a Maiko entertainer, it's tradition. The greeting cards is a form of formality to parents, while the doughnuts are sweet. Interesting to learn that doughnuts are made from insane theories, and the monument at Rockpoty, Maine in the U.S. recognizes that. More deep-fried doughnuts are nice. |

| How is it that Shabu-shabu has the best animation? I know they don't care about the series and only use it to promote tourism and all that, but it's sad. |
| I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something. People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English. |
