| Technically the said this was a sequel. When you watch it, it felt more like a Spinoff for several reasons. Should you watch Inuyasha before Yashahime? That’s the irony, even though they (failed to do so) attempted to create a semi coherent plot to give something new and fresh even without no knowledge of the original series, they ended up relying on the OG’s too much and having a plethora of references to it, so much so that if you haven’t watch Inuyasha you won’t be able to understand like 70% of the story. |

| Why do people always make these "should I watch [insert Anime here] before watching" forum posts. If you have to ask that question to begin with then the answer is more than likely yes. Also 9 times out of 10 or at least in Yashahimes case the original work, InuYasha is so much better than Yashahime so you'd be doing yourself a disservice watching Yashahime without watching Inuyasha. InuYasha is a classic. Yashahime is a direct Sequel to InuYasha so if you watch Yashahime you'll be asking so many questions and ultimately be forced to go back and watch InuYasha so this forum is pointless to begin with. |
