| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I almost forgot that as a Maiko, the best and only way of communication is through the old pen-and-paper letter. Using the formal telecommunications is just awkward. Kenta got himself sandwiched between Kiyo and Sumire's interactions back in school, though his qualm is with the odd handwriting. Grilled Onigiri is nice though. Kagai is special for not celebrating Christmas, though it shows off being subtle in all sorts of ways. Sumire didn't had the chance to eat cakes when other Maiko did so in droves, such a drama queen, so Kiyo just made one off-hand with the avaliable ingredients they have in the Maiko House...fruit sandwiches. Forward that to New Year's Eve, a Fukudama (or a Fortune Ball) given out as a symbol of good luck for whatever's inside for gifts, though only after the New Year's Bell has finished ringing, then it's possible to do so. The staple Ozoni a.k.a white taro soup for a send-off breakfast, and for sure, sweets don't resemble anything but the same as ever. |
